great vid gives me a idea on my 2005 blazer motor .. Any idea what to look
for that wear and tear quick IE head gaskets, bearings, fuel pumps just
bought the truck.. I’m use to 80’s 305 350’s subbed and liked
I’m changing my head gaskets tomorrow, this video has been helpful,Tks. for
your video posts.
This isn’t a tear down…. A tear down is going to bare block…. pulling
the crank/cam… even cam bearings.
Comprei uma blazer 4.3 que está com água no óleo e vou desmontar pra ver o
que precisa fazer, já fiz de vários carros, mas desse motor não conheço
muito. Conhece algum problema que causaria essa mistura, além da queima da
junta.
Not on this 4.3. The head gasket replacement can be done in the vehicle on
this particular 4.3. Thanks Michael.
This video was exactly what I needed to see. I have an S10 with what I
believe to be head gasket issues. It’s sat forever because 1200$ is too
much to fix it and I’ve been scared to do it myself…Until now. The intake
manifold/throttle body etc. comes off as one piece? Fantastic. Cylinder
head can stay assembled? News to me! Outstanding. Thank you so much for
posting this video.
You are right. Although i am no idiot. This was my first 4.3 tear down in
some many years. I am sure you have done stupid things also. Unless you are
God. If you are God, whats up God. How are you God. Thanks Michael and Aaron
Thank you!
No. The head gasket replacement can be done in vehicle. Thanks Michael and
Aaron
How much does what cost? A new 4.3. a create 4.3 from GM, or for someone to
rebuild yours? Thanks Michael and Aaron
According to Aaron all should work except for the cam, water pump, and
maybe intake. He should know. This is his area of expertise. Thanks Michael
and Aaron
Would a 262/4.3 Engine,4.3L Marine Reman Vortec Base Engine fit in a Chevy
1996 Blazer? thanks.
Thank you! You can remove the intake with throttle body attached but you
may want to remove the throttle body from the intake afterwards. This gives
you a chance to clean the carbon build up. Also a new throttle body gasket
may prevent a possible leak issue. The cylinder heads can remain assembled
while unbolting them from the block. Although if there was any suspected
head or head gasket problem its always best to have them checked for cracks
and straightness.
Thanks for the positive feedback. We are toying with offering manuals with
each video. Thanks Michael and Aaron
That was awesome thanks guys
Dig the vid. You should do a step by step with comments. That would be cool
too.
Yes, it is not a complete tear down.
what song is playing in the backround??
Depends on the year, make, and model of the vehicle. Most head gasket
applications can be done in vehical, although some must be done out of
vehicle. Please let me know the year, make, and model. Thanks Michael and
Aaron.
I need to remove the engine to replace the head gasket.
doing headgasket on mine
Thanks for the video – I have two quick questions. I am in the UK so can’t
ask anyone easily… Is there a tensioner on the chain as standard or is
that the aftermarket fix for the rattle? Do you have a video or link to a
how-to please? How do you align the balance shaft with the timing chain
correctly please? Thanks!
Drop it in, you can now cruise at 5,000 rpms. Gear it down, it will be one
hell of a hauler.
he dont know what he is doing ,he start hitting the cylinder head without
removing all the bolts. idiot.
nice looking i need new engine V-6 4.3 engine how much it cost ??
need one as well. Found any, at what cost?
Its a 1990 chevy s10 blazer
So would I have to remove my engine to replace my head gaskets?
On a 4.3? I have never seen a tensioner on a 4.3 GM timing chain. Otherwise
every GM 4.3 has alligment marks on the crank gear, cam gear, and balance
shaft gear. I will have to have year, make, and model to give you specific
details. Thanks Michael and Aaron.
