Duct tape works too
"Technologia!!!"
You can take the console off and just remove the bulb.
Why wouldn't you take the 4 screws out and unplug the light

I went to look at a Volvo for sale years ago and when I got to the address it was at some public housing. The guys selling it were Iraqi men and made me drink tea with them first. When I test drive the car I realized there was no dash warning lights even on the first key turn. They’d disconnected just the instrument cluster warning lights to try and trick me. Bastards!
Went thru inspection once and failed. I get told by the guy that I had a code which is the reason why. I did say, okay but I have no engine code light. He proceeds, turning the key to the on position, telling me, see that's your problem, it's not lighting up before starting it up. Oh….
Had a 1999 Silverado that had an ABS brake alarm from day one that never went off.
Dealer said TS !
I pulled the dash cover and put several layers of electrical tape over it! It was there for 20 years when I sold the truck
Too much under the hood. Needs and warning light for the warning light anymore. Over Engineering under achieving
Glowbotomy.
Yep, had that issue years ago mutiple times and they couldn't figure it out, then went back in one day and immediately was corrected quickly. Looked at it when I got home, bulb removed ! Bastards !
That would probably pass inspection
I painted over mine with black paint, for some reason, they will not give you a sticker. If the light is onn My friend's mechanic and he says they call those dummy lights for a reason, it's to get you to spend money on things that aren't really broken. They are designed to keep you spending money on your vehicle.n He told me if there's nothing wrong with your car, then ignore it.
Electric tape works great.
A sticker would have done the trick
That is one way of dealing with it scared to imagine how he would respond to an ear ache
