My reasons for not buying a Ford or any other supercar are nothing special.
Can't afford one. Impractical for street driving and completely illegal and dangerous to use it's capabilities on the street. Not really interested in going to the track with one.

I know of a Ford mechanic–somebody brought him a ten year old Ford GT with a sick v8 engine (bad rod/piston?) anyway the bill was gonna be pretty high and the owner was griping about it so the mechanic makes an offer on the car and buys it. In the next few days he has a new rod/piston in it, it make a pile of horsepower, he roll races it and gets big numbers, all is well. He stands to make a million dollars on that when he sells it.

If you got it, why not. The MKII will double in value and that's being conservative. The 3.5 V6 is perfect for this and was a wise decision by Ford. From a GT owner 🙂
