Jason Manson says:

Love the channel man you are a great tech and very thorough. I have a mechanical question for you. My 05 Ford E-150 Cargo Van starts fine when I start it up in the morning to go to work but then when I get to where I'm going and try to start it up again it cranks and cranks until finally starting which it barely sounds like it's gonna stay running. But if I let it sit awhile it starts no problem. Any ideas? BTW it runs good and no check engine light. I was thinking maybe it's got something to do with the fuel pump. Whatever it is just seems like it's getting too hot

Went to dealership to drop car for service. Talkedbto desk. Told me had to order parts i said its been 2 weeks since i made the appointment and the repair was known. After i walked out i got cold feet. Went back in and took my car back. I going to tackle this one myself with the help of brian. He has several videos on this very subject. Thanks Brian. You saved me $1500 plus gave me the confidence to do it.

D P says:

I need a guy like this for F250 work. Great video as usual.

Antonio Claudio Michael says:

Plugged cats cause low power from engine or bad transmission because the engine cant breath there just like us we cant breath if we have a cold

Antonio Claudio Michael says:

I agree Always get a second opinion after larger work or When you get astronomical quotes 5.4 3 valve and 6.8l 3 valve always get the oh they are junk needs a engine when its not always a engine issue seen the catalytic converter issue before and few the engine was replaced 2 times because cats were never fixed 13:10 @FordTechMakuLoco

Antonio Claudio Michael says:

Got to love Lazy mechanics they make the rest of us Good mechanics look good Like me and You 11:47 @FordTechMakuLoco

Antonio Claudio Michael says:

Nice find on the sway bar end link not being tight on the top

Antonio Claudio Michael says:

That clunking sound to me sounds like the Cv axles from loading and unloading them during turning 4:50

Antonio Claudio Michael says:

The Dreaded aftermarket Parts changing.. customer took it to another shop and they said everything new so it cant be them parts but it could be the aftermarket parts installed In our industry NEW means Never Ever Works

The Lo-fi Mofo says:

I had a plugged cat on my 08 Pontiac G6 that was covered under an extended warranty (the cats were going bad at a record pace) but GM wouldn’t address it until it popped a OBD2 code, they refused to do a back pressure test or anything. For 6 months i drove it, barely getting above 55 mph, and FINALLY it popped a code. I took it to the GM dealer and they said “you have a plugged cat”, and they finally replaced it and the car accelerated fine after that. I HATE dealerships, snakes.

Mr Man says:

Shade tree is what Shade tree is.

Youdoneedmyname says:

Lemme guess sway bar bushings.

Jellybean says:

I’ve gotten screwed by changing parts that were bad brand new, and went on to look for something else as the problem

Thoughts, Ideas, Etc.. says:

Noticed you have a lightning I do as well and have had nothing but issues with the software. Have you been having problems with it on your truck ?

ben sanders says:

I don,t think it is dishonesty as much it it incompetents with mechanics and other skilled trades.

Michael Pence says:

I just want to thank you for all your videos and expertise that your willing to upload to UTube.
My 5.4 3 valve had a “ticking” noise from the driver side valve area.
I had a heck of a time but finally located a qualified shop (not dealer) here in Sacramento and they did a great job!
New;
Timing job
Oil pump (high) pressure
Can shafts/phasers
Roller followers
Lifters
Etc.
She now purrs like a kitten!
Point is, had I not found your videos on U Tube I would have never understood the issues associated with the 5.4 3 valve.
Thank you for your willingness to share your expertise!
Best
Mike

John M says:

Can you do a video of the earlier eco-boost mustang’s that have a smoking problem

James Bruno says:

You're the best Brian!

Stephen Bartram says:

Had to close out app and reopen video to like

Robert Miller says:

I don’t use manufactures parts the first one was faulty why install another one had more problems with manufacture parts then aftermarket ones

undercoverwookie says:

Dealerships are practically criminal organizations at this point. It's mind boggling that anyone still takes their cars there for anything other than warranty service or recalls.

Emergency Welding Operations Inc. says:

This is why I stay away from dealerships after the warranty
