Old Broken Ford 351w Motor SCRAP OR SAVE? #junkyard

There’s NO doubt 351 Windsor blocks are tough as nails. Found one for $300 that had a hole in the side. Will it EVER run again?

It probably spun the bearing. The bottom of the bore looks like a notch for a stroker. The rings do not go down that far. My 351w from the junkyard had a similar failure and the machine shop was able to bore the block. He had to line hone it though as the main cap fit loose on the second main.

Since its a cheap fix, save it(especially if it's a roller block). No sense in spending more time and money pulling another block if you don't have to.

It's a Ford in the junk. Should have left it where it belongs

Interernal combustion engine. Not a "motor".
