Good tip on leaving the bolt on,I usually just take it out and put it on
seat with covers not to damage seat..

Richie G says:

I watched another video on back flushing the core and he mention the bypass
hose, you need to clamp off the bypass hose to insure the back flush goes
through the core. So far this worked for me, I’m gonna get a system flush
to replace all the coolant.

Richie G says:

I also changed the temp control switch.

Richie G says:

I have heat coming out but it doesn’t burn me out like it used to, so I
back flushed the core, function tested the actuator, drained the radiator
and changed the thermostat and still no change. Do you think its time to
change the core??

Mike Baron says:

great job man. I like your vids. My heater works fine, but i got a lower
trans line at the radiator leaking. i was hoping you had a vid of replacing
that fitting. I will have to go it alone tomorrow i recon LOL Thanks for
the great vids man.

James Smith says:

very nice video. much appreciated. Is there another brand of antifreeze
that is compatible? Local stores do not carry Motocraft Gold

Brandyn Mahoney says:

Great vid. I am having probs with my sable and this helps so much. Like the
step by step. Thank you for taking the time to make this. Also I just
subbed.

Keith Rudi says:

Hey I absolutely love how in depth and step-by-step your videos are. Don’t
find that quite often.

gott dow says:

Thanks. Now all I need is a blower motor replacement video. Lol

Briace1000 says:

what year Taurus was this ? I have a 2001 is the procedure the same?

David Hunt says:

Thanks for your vids on heater issues on Taurus. I’m hoping I can solve my
problem by flushing and a t-stat change. I’m no mechanic. My heater just
stopped partially working today. Took too long to get heat and noticed the
gauge move very quickly from cold to overheating in about 2 seconds. Then I
let off the gas and it dropped back down to normal range and heater started
working. Any thoughts?

RobertnMichelle Judd says:

We have AC on our car, is there anything we should know that wasn’t covered
in the video?

BaconStrip27 says:

Very Helpful,, Thank you! went exactly like you showed

shawn karg says:

THANK YOU VERY MUCH..

Aaron Meixel says:

thank you.

gary messier says:

You make a very Instructor . This is the best video I seen in my life.
Enough lights so everybody can see what they need to see. Also the way you
say what to do step by step, My question is , should you disconnect the
battery first so the air bags does not deploy by accident ? because I don’t
think I like a face full of talcum powder. ha! ha!

im2crafty says:

excellent video -got the same problem, i noticed it took u 7:00hrs..removal of core should be easier like making a special pull out
plastic door. you make great videos-thx

codyq0987 says:

know from sheila that you are a TCCA guy! This video is great! Q> Is this
same for Taurus 2000 SE OHV?

dabomb101777 says:

do you know if this is close to the same on a 1990 model?

Tisha Wilkins says:

Where are the hoses??

Rupert Schulz says:

Good Video I think!
But wondering if this works with a 1998 Taurus, too?

Jacob Knudsen says:

I’m going to attempt this on a 99 Taurus Sunday morning. The bolt for the
steering wheel is under the dash or under the hood?

Clay Newton says:

My heater core is stopped up they say, should I flush the system before the
core swap even though it is “clogged” and not blowing any heat?

dvddmc says:

would this procedure also work with a 1997 Mercury Sable GS?

Kevin Smith says:

My 2000 Mercury Sable also has brown rusty coolant. Can you explain why so
many Fords and Mercurys have this problem? What exactly is causing the
rust? Thanks for your videos.
