Thanks

When he took out the old filter a bug and a few bug parts fell into the filter area. If this happens to you, use a vac to clean them out or at least a tissue. A dead moth you say…?

Dude needs to watch DIY video on how to open the hood too…. Lol

The ASE certified techs that see this video are OUR CUSTOMERS that we are sending this link to. We didn’t post this vid for the DIY’ers but it seems to have helped many of them. This vid has helped us sell many of these filters so as unprofessional as it appears it has worked for its intended purpose. Thank you for your corrections and additions, they are appreciated.

This video as well as our other cabin filter install vids were not professionally created (as you can see), in fact the person in the video is not a mechanic, he is a warehouse employee that packs and ships product for us. This video as well as the others that we have posted are meant to show our customers how easy it is to install a cabin air filter. Our customer is not the end user or the DIY’er so the video does skip over things that we assumed that an ASE certified tech would know.

You forgot to tell people about two MAJOR parts

A) the screw under the, plastic covers

B) you MUST reseal the top edge to the windscreen with silicone.

metrosupply says:

It sounds as if you need new clips, they do tend to break from time to time. Your local Ford dealer will probably have them in stock and shouldn’t cost too much, relatively speaking.

Razvan Lazar says:

well, i have a problem with the clips beneath the plastic board.
can you tell me how to push it back, please. becouse now the board it’s not firmly on the windsheald side and all the water is draining on to the filter compartment.
thank you

I have no cabin filter knowledge on the Focus after the 2004. MicronAir doesn’t manufacture a filter for the focus after the 2004.

BersedesMens says:

Thank you! I’ve heard that there is no cabin filter in 1999/2000 Focus. Is this true? I have a smell that I think comes from the AC. Could it help to install or replace the cabin filter?

metrosupply says:

As you can see from the video that replacing the filter is quite simple. In most cases the cabin air filter can be replaced in under 5 minutes, the Ford Windstar filter was replaced in 51 seconds.

The purpose of the cabin air filter is to filter out dust, pollen and other micron sized particles from the air that enters the cabin of your vehicle. This is the air that you breathe so the benefit would be that you are breathing in fresher, cleaner air. A carbon filter would also minimize odors

Aspireonthego says:

nice video, what are the real benefits of having a cabin air filter though? and is this hard to do?
