Moral to this story is don’t waste your money on shiney oil pan that u
can’t see and doesn’t add any performance the bolts are crap any way !

I’ll second the bolts are crap, so are the washers. I bought stainless
bolts for looks which also snapped at 15 ft lbs. Using only Grade 8 now
and it held. The pan (my 3rd one) does need to be pulled out on the side
for all the bolts to fit perfectly. The holes are not a match for the
block. Using my pan on a 347 stroker. Previous pans on a 302 and a 289.
The 289 never leaked. Both the 302 and 347 have leaked using Fel-Pro
gaskets so now try a Ford gasket as shown in the video. Great video’s for
a Ford builder! Thanks!

Did you have the timing cover completely bolted and fastened on before you
could put the gasket and pan on?
