Keep me up to date on that repair area with the panel bond on the lap seam
on the body reveal. I’ve been taught that it’s suppose to shrink and reveal
the seam so I always steered clear but I wonder. Thanks for the video
Shawn.

Sorry if you mentioned this and I missed it, but why are you using panel
bond instead of welding? Noob question I know.

Cary Lamari says:

I have never used the panel adhesive, did you flange the body where you
glued the new panel on? please let us know how well it bonds. I think panel
adhesive will replace mig welding in the future. Scares me though a bit.
Thanks for the video Learning here!

We used Lord’s adhesives in making fiberglass body panels for Camaros,
Firebirds, APV vans, Navigators, Lincolns, Rangers, Mustangs and even the
Plymouth Prowler (it is NOT all aluminum). I worked for the Budd Co for 11
years and can say that stuff is great. We bonded metal, various plastics
and combinations with no issues. The parts from 1988 are still holding!
Good stuff with no heat distortion.
