David Zamora says:

NOT BAD,BUT YOU WASTE TO MUCH MATERIAL ON THE FRONT AND THE BACK.

Elizabeth Greene says:

Question: My old fabric didn’t wrap around, it ended at the edge of the
board. Should I wrap it anyway?

2002 Dodge Grand Caravan. Thanks!

Tyler Jones says:

I know how to do this stuff but its always enjoyable to watch vidoes, but
heres a tip video lady, you dont need to move the damn camera 5000 times.
Its annoying.

Kevin Zhao says:

very good. i like your job

kennybopaloo Bop says:

Nice job Bro………………..

Kevin Zhao says:

where can i buy the headliner material and its glue in Australia. what is
their brands you were using in this video?

Nate P says:

Geez, you got enough pressure going through that gun? Get an HVLP system,
you’ll use far less product and not blow everything around when applying
the adhesive.

George Tracy-Adams says:

Nissan, not Neesarn.

TheAxio300 says:

how do you get it out of the car

Daneille Bryan says:

Where d I get this type of fabric to purchase

jeff anderson says:

get video … learned a lot. got a question… im looking for the headliner
board to replace in a 79 Malibu wagon . the old one came out in chunks .
either the matrial or a complete headliner will do… go any suggestions

LCCharlie says:

You can tell that that guy isn’t paying for the headliner material.

Randy Starkey says:

How do you re-upholster the sunvisors,if not colormatching them?

Michael Mclamb says:

The extra pieces on the ends could be used for sunvisors. If you are going
to throw it away i suggest you double the excess under the good part so as
to not have to lift it at the back and front when spraying. Also stretched
headliner will skrink and come loose. Not critizing, just know from many
years experience.

RyhnoMight 7 says:

What about cotton? Will it stick well enough?? Is there a certain kind of
foam u used? Also When using a spray can, how many cans should do the job?

andrew shively says:

jeez for every 3 jobs you do you could do one for free with all the
material you waste!!! your just tossing money in the trash

jonny sparks says:

where I could I get camo headliner at I want to do my jeep

logan riley says:

Do I have to use headliner material? Because I want to use a black suede
fabric, is that okay?

HowtoUpholsteryoneal says:

The best way is to use a wire brush. It can take some effort but scrap it
down to the board being careful not to damage the board. Once clean then it
will come out smooth. If you try to cover the old material without cleaning
the old stuff off it may not stick and then its really hard to clean it.

HowtoUpholsteryoneal says:

it works either way but there is no need to flap it. Sometimes it will
wrinkle the headliner

skullkid73 says:

Where do you get the headliner material?

HowtoUpholsteryoneal says:

Suede will work just fine.

AlexisUnderwater says:

Why no cushioning?.. and what’s the safest glue?

Rusty Shackelford says:

This is really helpful! Any advice on how to clean the shell? my headliner
is still new theres just cigarette burns from the previous owner, can i
just place the new liner over it ? or is removing the old one a must ?

HowtoUpholsteryoneal says:

the material is padded, no other cushioning needed. Use a contact cement.
Let it dry with windows open. contact glue also gets stronger with age.

Brian lopeezy says:

lol she seemed so nervous to speak made me change this video right away
lmao hahahaha

HowtoUpholsteryoneal says:

We have it. Click on the link attached to the video. Give us a call at
813-752-0405 and we’ll ship it to you. thanks

Paul Wittenberg says:

I’m working on a 65′ pickup that didn’t start with a headliner, but I’d
like to add one to add to the noise reduction. The roof is pretty simple so
I plan to create my own shell. What do you suggest that I make it out of?
Since there are no pre-exisitng hooks, any suggestions on attaching it to a
newly painted roof?

chapyhappy says:

where would be a good place to buy the fabric?

dustin smith says:

On ebay they have black suede headliner material. I used it in my truck.
The fabric has to have foam in order to work!

Gian Q. says:

what kind of adhesive did you use? I mean, what brand? I ask you because I
can see it is very good and dries quickly. I would realle appreciate the
info. THANKS

1cbjack says:

My 72 Opel GT currently has a headliner with wires init. Can I substitute
the foam backed headliner w/o putting the wires back in?

madmiles says:

For the dome light hole, wouldn’t it be better to flap it inside and glue
it to the inside as well or would it obstruct the light or wrinkle the
headliner? Just curious.

HowtoUpholsteryoneal says:

it’s a contact cement. We use a spray grade by DAP. We also sell a spray
can that works very well, if you dont have a spray gun, for $20 plus
shipping.

Samantha Tschirhart says:

can you use any material to replace the headliner for a custom look?
instead of the grays and tans? plus how do you get the headliner out
without causing damage to the car itself?

HowtoUpholsteryoneal says:

Sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner. You can put just about any colored
you’d like. We have suedes that look really cool. I did have an article on
our “howtoupholsery” website. It can be tricky to get those headliners out.
Read the article and let me know if it helps James O’Neal

Kyle Anschuetz says:

the shell should be made out of fiberglass. You could use some sort of clip
system, based on panel clips.
