At least we got the point across, you knew what we were talking about lol 🙂

YOU ROCK!!! I had an issue with my window regulator and went to the Ford dealer. $425 to repair it?!?! I looked it up on YouTube and figured I’d give it a try. I’m not the most skilled at auto repair but the video was spot on and super easy to follow. I bought the parts online for $100 which was $70 cheaper than what the Ford dealer wanted. Video was awesome, issue fixed and it was EASY! Save some cash and do it yourself… You can, I did! If you’re in Michigan, beers on me!

schwartzdog says:

Just finished the job -big thanks for the video. Note, make sure you know if you have a 43 or 50 inch door before buying regulator. Likewise the polarity will be different so you have to rewire or purchase an adapter on the power connection on some F150’s. Feels good not paying $400.

71scottiemac says:

Got all the way to the regulator, but the window is stuck in the up position. Any advice? Thank you

71scottiemac says:

Great video…how eve

RandomGr33nGuy says:

thank you!

Darrell Linders says:

Excellent video

Sarah Taylor Weatherford says:

had the same problem on my f 150, the video helped me big time,, knocked it out in about an hour or so,, without this video it would have take much longer,,,, saved me some big dollars

SethJacobs says:

I used this video back in December as a guide. Saved me $225. Do the exact steps in the video and you’re fine.

APDTY says:

Glad we were able to help! Thanks

nelly19914 says:

Awesome. I have zero mechanical ability and this video got me thru replacing the window motor in less than two hours. Thanks to the guy that made it, saved me 400$

Dwayne Waterman says:

great video. i plan on attempting this procedure this weekend.

APDTY says:

It should be an identical procedure.

Z5EETL4 says:

Same procedure for a 2008 SuperCab?

sinnedam says:

about to have to do this myself. great prep video. i know exactly what to do now.

7collier says:

I replaced passenger rear window regulator today on my 2005 King Ranch watching this video. The rear door panel is a little different to remove, you must remove the upper plastic cover attached to the door on the right side of the window first, then pry gently with a flat screwdriver and pull firmly and you’ll see 2 clips that will come out with the cover. The rest of the removal is very close to the video, took 45 min max, got the regulator on Amazon, $110, saved $300 from Ford dealer, Easy!

centoguzzi says:

I replaced the rear window regulator on my 2005 F150 Super Crew. The procedure is the same. Also it was much easier to replace than I first thought. Your video was a great help. If a person has basic mechanical skills, there is no reason to pay someone to do this job.

larryrp66 says:

Great video. I had my window stuck in the down position, and couldn’t reach the bolts that clamp window to regulator, so I had to take motor apart to raise window. Thanks again.

APDTY says:

I am not sure of the exact procedure for the rear doors, but if you follow the basic template that we used in this video you should be fine. Just note that the location of the screws/bolts may have changed, other than that it should be nearly identical.

TheDigitalUnknown says:

I followed this before for my front driver door on my 04 XLT and saved about $330 over Good Year doing it for me. Nice work and big help guys. Huge thanks for the video.

Now my rear driver broke and needs to be replaced. Can this be followed to remove back side panels as well or are there any differences between front and rear that should be noted???

APDTY says:

The rear regulator will actually be different, feel free to give us a call and we can help you find the correct part for your truck.

HimmelChef says:

Hey question for you. For my 05 fx4 I have a super crew cab do I just order a front drivers regulator for the rear drivers side window?

AuntShelsy says:

Word to the wise, some of this requires quite a bit of hand strength. Although the instructions are easy to follow, my problem was getting the handle off and getting the bottom plugs (where the speaker was) off. Once that was accomplished, everything else was easy as pie. Now, while I wait for the regulator to come in, I am leaving everything off. By the by, the best place to get your regulator is through this video’s website because of price. Autozone and O’Reilly were well over $120.00.

AuntShelsy says:

This is an amazing video. Unfortunately, I’m not strong enough to get the handle off (frustrating since I’m trying to do it all by myself), but at least I can do a great deal of it.

JoshuaTreeTv says:

Thanks so much for the video. Details were spot on and I saved a tonne of cash doing it myself.

jhodges121 says:

Thanks for the video!!! It was right on point !!

Dawgator says:

You guys are GREAT! Easy parts ordering and super help via phone! GO APDTY!

Lacey Addis says:

GREAT VIDEO!! I will be attempting the rear door in my 04 Super Crew tonight. Then the suburban, then the honda…… man something about me and regulators..

jenredmon78 says:

This video is awesome. Saved me time, money and aggrevagtion!! Thanks!

dnahunts says:

Great video,Had this happen on my 05 f150 drivers side. Took me about 1 1/2 hrs. Followed all syeps on vid. Thanks youtube!!

APDTY says:

Yes a 2005 would be the same procedure.

browleather says:

Great video man this helped me save some time and money

ahokie says:

Second time I had to go back to this video for another door on my f150. Ordered from their site and paid half for the OEM part versus the dealer. Thanks again for this great video. I have two more windows on my supercrew and I am sure I will be back again!

solivo83 says:

My window will only roll up and not down. Any ideas what it could be

Kid Vegas says:

Very helpful.

SwiftXZ says:

thank you very much for reply

APDTY says:

The book time on this regulator calls for 1 hour of Labor, So it would depend on what your local labor rate is. If it’s $100 per hour of labor, that would be $100 plus the part cost.

SwiftXZ says:

how much would this cost me to have done at the dealership? any idea? just a rough guess would be awesome

1musiclvr says:

Just wanted to say thanks for the outstanding video. There’s no way I would’ve even thought about attempting this repair but have now, thanks to the video, I’ve done it sucessfully and will be ready if another fails. Thank you!

1musiclvr says:

I tried this with my 2004 F-150 supercab driver’s side window and the Dorman replacement has a different power plug for the motor so it won’t work. The Dorman unit has a square plug and the factory regulator has a hole for a round plug to go into.

APDTY says:

We do not yet have a video on the rears, the rears are slightly different, but the same basic procedures can be followed. (Find hidden bolts, remove door panel, remove regulator). We hope to have a video for a rear door eventually. Thanks

William Malouf says:

Do you have a video for the rear door on the f-150 super crew? I have replaced the front already and someone said the rear was different.

imarushfan says:

I had to do a rear door on my extended cab. It was slightly different but this info was invaluable. Thank you so much!

marcotony15 says:

thanks so much man. you’ve save me a couple of hundred dollars to my mechanic that i dont have. Thank you!

israelelgato says:
