What changes, if any, are there to this process for replacing factory power heated side mirrors?

This is a good tutorial, however, I did it without taking the whole door panel off. I just took the the mirror control housing off and was done in 10 minutes. The third screw is below the line of the bottom of the control housing so you have to take it off with a wrench instead of a ratchet, and be careful not to drop the screw down into the door assembly.
I have a question. If it came with standard mirrors are you able to install heated? Not sure if wiring is present or not. Sometimes they put same wiring in everything but install standard options.
