I did this, and the whole assembly popped out

Why are u wearing gloves ?

Scott Lanter says:

I pried and pried on that thing and it wouldn't come off. Thinking I was doing it wrong, I came inside and researched the problem which landed me here. The words in the video, "brute force" I took to heart after watching I went back out and did just that. It popped off the first attempt at, "brute force". Thanks a lot for this video. If it weren't for you, I'd be prying on that thing until next week trying to get it off.

Kamoi Gaspar says:

I ended up inserting the flat head in the front on the light housing instead. Applied a muscle pulling down and it came off very quick

Kevin Huber says:

I can't get mine back on! Anyone else having this problem?

My cover will not come off

Austin says:

For anyone still wondering, I finally did it, I got a flat head screwdriver and stuck it in the slot on the back of the clear cover, I made sure not to shove it under the gray assembly however as that would pull the whole assembly from the truck. After locating the slot, again, it’s on the side closer to the bed of the truck, shove in the flat head, I then pried with the screwdriver downward with more pressure than comfortable until I was hit on the head by the clear lens. It finally had come off. There are like 4 clips, 2 on the front 2 on the back, holding that sucker in so get aggressive. Also expect some bug bodies to shower your interior. I drive a 2012 Extended Cab F-150 and am commenting this on every video that needed more explaining for others like me.
