Thanks for the tutorial. This was such a pain to get off even with the added tension. I feel like it was more luck than anything that mine popped loose. I get the feeling that I should have done the serpentine belt while I had the old fan off, but I'll cross that bridge later.
Does this fit the 96 2.3 ford ranger, I'm trying to order but I'm not sure if it'll fit or a size difference?

Can we normalize youtubers not cutting away and coming back to bolts being loose? Come on man, I can't get the big nut on my fan loose to save my life and you just cut the video away where I'm sure you spent 30 minutes doing god knows what to get it off.
This seems to not have reverse threads? The 3.0 I believe is reverse threads.

The fan clutch nut on my 98 4.0 feels like it's welded I mean you can torch heat it and turn nut to left passenger side but no dice
The fan you replaced has the blades going the complete opposite way so how is it the right replacement?
He forgot to mention he wedged a bolt or a clamp to prevent fan from spinning. The water pump spins both ways.
