All is i can say is thank you
1) Lowest blower fan setting, which I use 90 percent of the time, not working on my 2009 F150.
2) Watched the accurate, easy-to-follow video from 1A Auto.
3) Cost of part from 1A Auto — under $30.
4) Installed part easily in about 20 minutes.
5) Saving around $50 to $70 repair shop labor, plus the satisfaction of "doing it myself" — PRICELESS!
6) A BIG thanks to 1A Auto!
Would a bad resistor cause a very bad burning smell in the cabin when the heater is on? It only happens when I stop at a red light or parked, but when I’m driving the smell goes away.
Same for the E150 van? Is this the same as a "rheostat"? I'm anticipating this repair for my company van.
What does it do?
Thanks for video! My 2012 f150 didnt have 1 and 2 speeds . Watched video and ordered part from your company. Only thing is my truck doesnt have or never had the felt panel that is held in by plastic pins? I bought truck new and other than getting new tires I'm the only person to work on truck.
Mine was going back for a long time, by the time I replaced it, the connectors had started to melt. I got a new resistor unit, it is the right one, but now nothing works. Any chance of the truck just needing to calibrate to the new unit…like it would for vent actuators?
I have a 04 f150 is the resistor in the same place?
