Rumor has it you're suppose to start your truck to reset the actuator spring before you slide the axle in by connecting the vacuum line and starting the truck. Is this true??

Great video. My 2008 f150 is grinding when im in lower rpm and goes away when i idol up or put it in 4×4. My question is how will i know if it is my actuator or not? I tested the lines and solenoid and all good. Thanks?
