this helped a ton!

maui234 says:

how did you ground with orange wire….can you explain to me….?.

ahyhijooooo says:

so one pole of the switch goes to the ground? ( 3:17 )

jlei07 says:

Where did you connect the switch?

AnthonyJ350 says:

Probably cause I’m in Canada lol. Everyone here (installer or not) calls
them zap straps. Kinda how we like to say pop instead of soda. Sorry I’m
always going to call them zap straps 😉

AnthonyJ350 says:

You technically don’t have to, but I’d highly recommend it for best
performance and safety.

ahyhijooooo says:

i didn’t understand the switch part , there’s 2 wires from the relays (
negative ) those goes to the switch and then other from the switch to the
ground or each cable for each pole of the switch?

AnthonyJ350 says:

To ground.

McCord Grimes says:

What gauge wire did you use?

David Gomez says:

don’t forget the headlight fluid!!!!

ovals56 says:

switch 3 prong and #1 ground middle #2 to relay 86 & 87 12volt and #3 power
for battery ? but im confuse your post video not show switch 3 prong to
where area and 86 & 87 12 volt with fuse to battery and 85 ground to body
and 30 positive to fog light

AnthonyJ350 says:

Use separate relays and switches.

AnthonyJ350 says:

They’re just generic yellow driving lights from the auto parts store.

silentkillerofkoyan says:

your car engine is so clean.. 🙂

Edgar Garcia says:

Kan you do that exact same installation on a 2005 f150?

evadvalcourt says:

I’m in canada too and here we say zip ties lol

Ruger260Taurus says:

How could you wire fog lights and off road lights on different switches.

BigDirtyBasterd says:

can you tie into the parking lamps as a 12v ignition source?

Laughin Man says:

How do you make the frog legs yellow do you paint the inside reflector
mirrors where the light reflex back outside the front fog lights or do you
just paint the lens from the inside out with transparent yellow 3m paint

jlei07 says:

@anthonyj350 Oo so basically instead of hooking the switch to the ignition
you used the ground connection. Thanks

Rj Balayo says:

i only used 1 relay for 2 fogs, is it ok?

Stephen Browne says:

you didn’t cover wiring the switch, It’s a three prong switch and you only
showed a ground wire and a trigger wire. Are you not using the third prong?

bestmastermind951 says:

by splicing them into the parking lamp curcit would u have problems with
fuses blowing due to maybe the lights using more amperage or theres no
problem at all doing this to any car?

AnthonyJ350 says:

Yup, the guy wanted to be able to turn them on no matter what. You could
hook the relay up to ignition and a switched ground if you only want them
to come on when the key is on as well.

AnthonyJ350 says:

Not if you use a relay and only use the parking lights to energize the
relay and get the main power from the battery or a heavy gauge ignition
wire. You only need 500 milliamps to energize the relay.

AnthonyJ350 says:

I wired up the relay for a negative trip. One side to ground, the other to
trip the relay. So when the switch goes on it sends a ground signal to the
relay.

AnthonyJ350 says:

Should be fine, as long as the relay used is rated for the amount of
amperage the lights can pull.

Ruger260Taurus says:

do you have to have a relay and a fuse for fog lights and offroad lights

Kandres027 says:

What brand and model are these lights?

Doomerater50 says:

What would the best ignition source be in order to wire it so it only comes
in with the key?

IXDimitriXI says:

zip ties. not zap straps. no idea were you EVER heard that phrase. but good
videos keep it up

Casey Gonzalez says:

thanks a lot for this vid man! just one question, though. one brown wire
goes to the positive side of the switch and the other brown wire goes to
the negative side of the switch? is that togauge wire by the way?

FlyinRyan37 says:

hay could i put a 06 grill on a 03

IXDimitriXI says:

it’s all good, i live on the states side of the border and ive just never
heard that phrasing i guess lol

AnthonyJ350 says:

Not sure. You’d have to compare the clips if they line up and if the head
lights have the correct angle where the grille lines up to them.

AnthonyJ350 says:

Ya you’re the second person to mention that to me on youtube. I had to
google search it cause I didn’t understand why people haven’t heard of the
term. When you search it, it shows both lol.

AnthonyJ350 says:

Usually I go right to the ignition harness and put a fuse in line just to
be safe. If your cigarette lighter switches with the ignition you can go
there as well, but if you go there only use that to energize the relay,
don’t use that source to power the fogs.
