Are there any fuses inside the door panel on most cars? Like on the the
regulator?
I have 96 ford ranger with manual windows. And the drivers side window has
trouble rolling up, about halfway up it “slips” and the crank just turns.
Is there any way to fix this without buying a whole new regulator?
Thanks for the post. I have to travel to fix this. 6mm x how long? I won’t
have a chance to get hardware once i get there.
@1aauto actually I gave it a love tap and it works great now….It had not
been rolled down in like 8 months………On fords a moderate tap will
sometimes get it to work just fine…
@sandyswindler You would need to remove it from the regulator. The pros
tend to leave the windows in when they tint them. If you look on YouTube
there are some window tinting videos out there that might help you out.
@ECVProductions00 Most of them are either under the dash, kick panels or in
the engine compartment.
Very good. I am going to attempt to repair my 97 Mustang Cobra window
regulator or switch whatever is the case. Thank you very much. Bruce

Just like my Ranger! Are you familiar with a recurring ranger problem with
interior lights being stuck on due to a bad sensor in the door handle
hinge? How to fix it?
You should be able to. We have brand new window motors with free shipping
on our website 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
@punx8086 Check out our website I think you’ll find the part price
reasonable
@mllopop Currently the new regulators do not come with the nuts and bolts.
You need I believe M6 bolts with 10mm heads and nuts.
i have a 95′ explorer i rolled the window down almost all the way . it was
kinda cock eyed when i went to roll it up it caught came up and thats where
it stayed ,[up ] it will not go down , but the motor is working. what do
you make of this ?
that switch panel should fit through that opening in the door panel my 94
b4000 does
So when you say regulator, that includes the elec. motor right?
Yes we carry them with the motor on our website 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
FREE SHIPPING in the lower 48 states.
Can just the motor be replaced without removing the regulator? I have
noticed that one of the mounting screw for the motor is hidden behind the
sheet metal. However I could drill out a hole to get to it. Is there a
relay that controls the motor? When I hit the switch I here a clicking
noice from the fuse box I assume. The passenger side doesn’t click but it
rolls the down.
your fast at unscrewing ha thanks video very helpful
If I get the switches and door panel from a junk yard can i use this to
convert a manual window to an automatic
Thank Q for this vid. Helps a lot!
You will have to get all the wiring as well as relays and fuses to make
sure you don’t damage the vehicle if a power wire touches the frame.
my 93 ranger regulator went bad! this helps…..parts probable not cheap…
Thank you for posting this video. this will definitely help me today. In
regards to installing the new regulator, what size nuts and bolt do I need
in place of the rivets? does the regulator part comes with the nuts and
bolt? Thank you again.
great! just great
@wirewolf66 Glad to help!! If you need more parts or information please

I’m looking at having to fix my ’97 Ranger’s power window and seeing this
very helpful, even more than my Haynes manual.
