We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows this particular
repair. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

1A Auto Parts says:

When the vehicle overheats you may want to check the fan to see if it’s
kicking on. If it’s an electric fan, it may be an issue with a relay or
even a bad fan motor that could be working intermittent for you. 1aauto.com

L Johnson says:

I am having trouble with my car running hot. I have had radiator and ac
hoses replaced, 2 new water reservoirs replaced. Things were good till
today when it overheated, steaming and coolant gushing out. Each time I’ve
had the fans checked and nothing has been wrong, could it be electrical or
should I just go ahead and replace the fans as a start?

mhill94 says:

Can you do a video on how to replace the A/C condenser and condenser fan?
Thanx!

1A Auto Parts says:

The process for that application may be different. If you have a service
manual for the vehicle it should be covered in there. We do carry Haynes
manuals on our website 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

djk1983 says:

Would this process be the same for a Duratec engine?

Lindsay Swinney says:

Hi Im having a problem with my fan under the hood! When i bought my car it
had a toggle switch to turn on my fan, needless to say i have had to
replace this 3 times. I have a 2000 olds alero. I just want to fix it
completley. What should i do??

1A Auto Parts says:

It may be fairly similar. We would recommend putting the correct fan back
in for the vehicle. We carry a electric replacement fan for a 1990-1995
Ford Taurus with the 3.8 Part Number: 1ARFA00004 on our website 1aauto.com

Great video, but the new fans don’t come on???

MoH ALO says:

My friend ..would you please make a video for replacing spark plugs for the
(ford taurus).. fully appreciated

1A Auto Parts says:

It may be located in the fuse box in the engine bay (if your car has one
there). If you have a Haynes or Chiltons manual, it should show you where
it is located.

enrique Torres says:

where the cooling fan relay is located on a taurus 02?

Urnot Borngay says:

Thank you for saving me time. kindest regards to you and yours.

1A Auto Parts says:

Yes that is correct.

Elise Milner says:

Hi i need to install a fan on my 95 taurus, can i put one of those
universal fans in? also is it much different installing a fan in the 95
than the 96-and up? THANKS!

1A Auto Parts says:

Both fans are needed but installing either or at this point would probably
be best for the vehicle.

solekicks says:

Can you make a video on how to replace the radiator for the taurus

jenvenson01 says:

is that the same to install to ma car?? mine is hyundai lantra 1997. thanks.

1A Auto Parts says:

You may want to take the toggle switch out and hook it back up to the way
the factory had it.

1A Auto Parts says:

@TheFamilySideShow You’re welcome. We carry a great selection of repair
parts on 1aauto.com for your Taurus.

duelistskater says:

Hi, I have almost this exact car, only with a different emblem on it, mine
says mercury instead of ford 😛 I only have one fan though, I need to wait
until payday to get the second fan. Which one should I install first?
Drivers side fan or passenger side? Or does it not really matter which one?
I know I need both but right now, one will be better than none.

TheFamilySideShow says:

This was very helpful. thanks for making this video.

1A Auto Parts says:

They’re controlled by a thermostat, I believe that they should both kick on
at the same time. You may want to check the wiring and see if it has power
to the motor.

Bat-Od Bat-Otgon says:

So the fan on the driver’s side is Radiator Cooling Fan (1ARFA00016) and
the fan on the passenger side is A/C Condenser Cooling Fan (1AACF00003)?

nate dogg says:

i have a 96 taurus and one of my fans dont come on is it that it will kick
on when my car get to hot or both shud be on at the same time

debbydoo2008 says:

awesome! Thank you!

1A Auto Parts says:

You may want to check the relay, or it could possibly be a bad thermostat
sensor.
