Hey Mike – thanks for the video and parts to replace my plastic headlights
(02 Odyssey), very helpful. Now…the windows in my 2001 f-350 work hard,
nearly stalling the motor. Do the OEM motors get weak, or do I possibly
have a gummed up window track? In your video on regulators, there weren’t
any points for lubricating the tracks, etc., so now I question the
likelihood of it being “gummed up” (my initial assumption). I’d hate to get
two new regulators, only to have the same problem.

Thank you yes it is oem only..

Could you please make a video on how to fix/replace the Door lock motor or
actuator, your company would benefit off of it because 99-04 ford f250 f350
etc is a common problem and then they will buy it from you! Lol but yea i
would really appreciate it

You will have to open up the door panel and check. It could also be related
to a bad wire as well that is grounding out possibly. Test the connection
and seeing if there is any damaged parts to the window regulator will help
you at this point.

This does not work on my 1999 F250. You can not change out the plug with
the original as it is molded the motor!. Errr…. From the website “For
1999 model trucks, there were two options for window motor plugs: vertical
or horizontal pin. The plug on this motor has horizontal pins. If your
vehical has vertical pins, this assembly will work if you swap the plugs
from your original”.

Thanks so much for your reply. I hate to admit it, but when I stuck my head
inside the hole with my glasses on, I saw that the forward screw was not
attached to the window. So when the window went up, it just tilted. Next
time I’ll actually look instead of just feel.

No problem at all. Have a great day. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

You may want to remove the door panel so that you can check the window
regulator. It may have broke inside of the door. Here’s a link to the
window regulators that we carry on our website 1aauto.com if you’re in a
bind and need a new one.

1A Auto Parts says:

You could try to put a little white lithium grease on the window regulator
tracks. You could also spray the weatherstrip around the window with some
silicone spray to see if that helps to speed it up. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

My 2005 Ford f150 drivers window will roll most of the way down and then
stops. But the window will not roll back up. If we pull on window and work
it back and forth we will get it back up.After you give it going back up
you can hear the motor. I am not sure what I need to do to fix this.

1A Auto Parts says:

you out. Have a great day!

Can i use the old motor on the regulator???

1A Auto Parts says:

You may want to check inside of the door while the window goes up to see
what’s pushing it off of the track.

1A Auto Parts says:

You’re welcome. Have a great day.

concreteguy72 says:

What do I do if my window rolls down and not up passengerside do I need
motor and regulator.

1A Auto Parts says:

yes you should be able to as long as the the regulator that you purchase is
just like the OEM one.

mccollumpc says:

Thank you! Your excellent video showed me exactly what to do today. I am
happy to report that the job went smoothly.

Hey Mike… Thanks for the tutorial. Installation was painless..

Breck1011 says:

help, I replaced the regulator and motor unit. It goes down OK, but it gets
jammed while it’s moving up. It tilts in the sliders and gets stuck.
Probably what broke the gears in the first place. What do I do now?
