You may want to check the fuse to see if it’s blown. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

i just replaced the resistor and the pigtail for the resistor, but my fan
does not work. when i select a vent for the fan to blow through, it makes a
slight hiss for a second at the switch. could you tell me if it is the
switch or the motor?

Hey don’t know much about cars i bought a 98 ford recently only issue with
it is the ac. I think i just need this motor because if i turn the ac on
wait a minute then off again really cool air immediately comes out the
floor vent under the steering wheel so im assuming the ac etc is just fine.
Its just this- looking for pricing here thats all, thanks for the video btwl

I got the blower motor out of my 99 Honda Civic thanks to your vids, it is
squealing like a son of a gun. I want to try and lube it up/clean it up but
I’m unable to take of the squirrel cage, nor did removing the 2 screws on
the bottom do anything. I was only able to pop off one L-ish shaped peace
of plastic, giving me a small window to the inside of the motor. I believe
the squirrel cage is on with a set screw, I took of the metal spring-band
that was on top of it. Any help???

Scott Sapp says:

I’m hearing a clicking noise when i turn up the fan on my 99 ford ranger is
it the fan motor?

1A Auto Parts says:

There could be a piece of debris caught up in the blower motor cage.

Thx 4 the video. I didn’t replace the blower fan motor but I took it out to
clear out debris (a leaf) inside the fan wheel. My AC was making a funny
noise and it would get louder as I turned it up. On a 2000 Ranger, there is
an extra part between the blower motor and the reservoirs. I removed that
but could not move the reservoir because one of the screws was underneath
the air filter case. I was still able to squeeze out the motor/wheel
because the wheel is plastic and can be bent some.

I think that’s what I need. Replace because my truck leak antifreeze, my
heat never turns off, and antifreeze mist comes inside my truck through the
vents
