Do Xentec Kits come with the ballast harnesses?

shakergmd says:

u roning installs

elreydq22 says:

Do you have to remove the whole headlight housing …or is possible to get the hids done without removing it

XenonSupply says:

You do not need a new assembly for this type of installation. Just email us at Help(at)XenonSupply(dot)com for more information. the product link in the description has a dropdown for the vehicle year model and has an option for your 2002. Installation method is pretty much the same beyond the exterior styling differences in the body.

deerkilla1304 says:

Do I need to purchase a whole new assembly or can these lights be directly installed to a standard 2002 f150 lens. (read comment below saying it’s close). If I do need to buy a new lens does xenon have some they recommend?

XenonSupply says:

We always recommend XenonSupply products as these have been tested to work with the vehicle models shown in the video. We cannot speak to other suppliers as we have not tested them and cannot confirm for our customers whether the installation will work the same way as shown in our video. I would recommend you email us at Help(at)XenonSupply(dot)com for the best support on which product is right for your vehicle.

Thank you,

Charles Ball says:

I was wondering about that, the projector headlights. What brand HID kit do you recommend? I was looking at VisionPro ($199 from Amazon) and DDM Tuning. ($65 from their website), or the one off your website. The VisionPro has Gen II slim ballasts with CANBUS and built in ignitors. The one from DDM tuning has an external ignitor.

XenonSupply says:

That is more than likely a reflective cup that is there intentionally to help control light output. You will want to leave those there as the HID’s fit in right behind them.

rady2000 says:

My 2007 F-150 has something in front of the stock halogen bulb. Is that piece removed, or left in place for HID’s?

XenonSupply says:

The process for the 2010 is pretty much the same process and should not flicker. Did you purchase your kit from XenonSupply or from another vendor? If you purchased from XS you can contact technical support at Help(at)XenonSupply(dot)com and they will be able to assist you further.

Thank you,

XenonSupply says:

So long as you select a decent color temp 4300K or 6000K the glare is minimal.

fegolo968 says:

for a 2010 is the same process, because mine the lights are flickering

iiSpRiNtThiSx says:

So you don’t need projector headlights for bixenon? These won’t give out a scattered light or blind other drivers with the stock headlight casing?

XenonSupply says:

other than the difference in color, no.

MrLilRichard says:

IT doesn’t matter that i have the 12000k HID’s does it?

XenonSupply says:

The 2003 is a very similar process using the same Bi-Xenon style bulbs. Your wiring configuration might be different based on your HID supplier but the concept is the same. You can contact us at Help(at)XenonSupply(dot)com with additional questions if this is in regards to a XenonSupply HID kit.

I need instructions on a 2003 F-150…Please Help I have already bought the lights and everything else i want done to the truck is done.

robert99ss says:

Putting on my hids today. Thanks for the video.

Scott Spear says:

my truck is a 2008 f150. right now it has a normal h13 bulb. the day time running lights sends power to the low beams at low power. so are u sure if i install hids that i still have hid’s??

XenonSupply says:

The daytime running light is not tied to the low beam or high beam, it runs off a different bulb and does not affect the HID system.

Scott Spear says:

what about daytime running lights. will the kit work or do i need to do something different to keep the running lights?

XenonSupply says:

You will most likely need to take the pins out of the connector on the wiring harness and troublehsoot what the ground wire is, and what the low beam and high beam are. It appears that your wiring configuration might be incorrect. You can send photos of the harness to us at Help(at)XenonSupply(dot)com and we can assist you further.

TheFuturemarine2010 says:

hey i did the exact same things you said and it just doesnt work.
i checked the ground wire by the battery and i wiggled it around and then i tried it and it worked. then i tried the high beam but they didnt work.
then i turned them off and i tried to turn them on again and they wouldnt work.
so what could be the problem?? please help me out thanks and no i didnt buy the kit from you guys.

kikomonsta13 says:

Thanks man, appreciate the help.

XenonSupply says:

You can use an Accessory Harness to power the ballasts directly from the battery which has its own fuse that circumvents the factory headlight power limitations. These are available on the xenonsupply website.

kikomonsta13 says:

I have another question. I bought an HID kit and when I installed them they burned the fuses to power the lights. Is there any possible way to install them so they can work?

XenonSupply says:

That is correct. The BI-Xenon kits come with a wiring harness and relay that connects to the battery. The Single Beam kits do not require them.

kikomonsta13 says:

You only need power direct from the battery if its a bi-xenon kit right? Not a regular kit?

XenonSupply says:

was this kit purchased from XenonSupply? Please email us at help (at) XenonSupply (dot) com for more detailed instructions. We will need to verify your harness connections to see how the high beam is set up.

XenonSupply says:

Please contact us at Help(at)XenonSupply(dot)com and we can troubleshoot accordingly. the Ford F-150 Harness designed by XenonSupply has interchangeable plugs in case wiring is different. we will go through the different known combinations when i have received your email.

thanks!
