what he didn't tell you if you don't have two replace your alternator a lot of times if your battery light is on but the car is running and you have full power and lights and everything else could be your voltage regulator brushes which is an internal component on your alternator if it's a Ford like the one he showed you there will be four tourx screws around the base of your connector wiggle the base out after removing those screws you'll see little graphite brushes then all you got to do is going to your local AutoZone ask for the brushes on your type of car the brushes is going to have the PIN to hold your brushes in place do not remove those until installing them into the unit two little screws under the brushes install your new brushes reconnect those four screws then pull the pin reconnect your connecter reinstall your alternator make sure the main drive belt is properly installed and everything should be in Tip-Top shape once more

Great video.  Very informative.  Thank you AutoZone.  Free battery charge, starting system check, and confirmation that the alternator was bad.  I received a discount as well.  Superb!

Thank You Autozone!! Other videos on YouTube have skipped the part about disconnecting the wires from the alternator. You folks made a point of pulling it out where we could see how you do it. I know that this is no big deal to people who do this all the time but it is to those of us who don't and we want to do a professional job without tearing something up. Thanks Again!!

Very good video. Just finished mine and was done in just over an hour. Hardest parts are finding all of the bolts that must come out and, you may have to access the tensioner fastener from underneath as getting a good fit is hard to do and the top coolant hose is a little in the way. Great Job on the video and thanks to Lorenzo and team at the LIttle Elm TX store.

buzzj89 says:

Wow you cut out the part of the difficult maf…. Makes me wonder.

the5benners says:

Great help: but I had to remove upper radiator hose as well.

kentagion says:
