Get on ebay and buy a ten dollar gas cap that fits this system

grumpy oldman says:

Tried ALL of these fixes, no long-term help, maybe 2 or 3 fill ups. Changed sensor of top front of engine (about 20$ to buy) two bolts, I hose, 1 Elec connecter, Problem solved, both warning AND engine warning out immediately. Just saying

Subhi Rammaha says:

I did as stated in the video, but the signal did not disappear

Edgardo Concepcion says:

Not a permanent fix…the light will come back…to fix the problem you need to replace the filler neck..which is a pain in the ass job to do..i suggest to just keep driving it like that because it will save you over $450 with parts and labor..And still have the same problem because ford hasn't change the design of the filler neck..just saying.

FaCiaL says:

0:38 clean your funnel first

IWORKYOUWATCH says:

It will take longer than a ride around the block to see if its fixed. The car needs to meet certain criteria in order for the evap monitor to run to see if there is a fault in the system. Usually you need between 50 and 90% of fuel in your tank. Some cars run the test at night to check the integrity of the system to make sure there is no decay

I did that and it went away but then came back any reason why?

Susan Hurley says:

It took two tries, but this worked for my 2013 Ford Flex! I used WD40 and then pushed that plastic funnel into the fuel inlet 30 times. (I never knew that funnel was under the spare!) Then after driving around for 2 weeks, the light was still on. I did the process one more time, and after driving the car once or twice more, the message and the engine light went off. It saved me time and money, and it felt great to fix it myself! Thanks!!
