This was going to be a great video,,,,,until,,,,, I screwed up somehow. I think there is enough info though to help folks get this job done. Here is an amazon link to a brand new fuel door housing if you want to go that route. http://amzn.to/2vRsPnq

Any idea on how to do this for a 2015? The design has changed.
Hey bud, just want to mention that if you make a video where you need a flashlight, dont shine the light ON what you're showing. ITs too bright, shine it to the side and let light radiate on the subject. awesome vid
You, sir, are a genius. Thanks!
Thank you so much for your video! With your help, I was able to fix it myself and saved myself some money in the process. Many thanks!
Good Video – clip on back of housing was the hardest part – all done in half an hour – Thanks
Easy enough fix, been using velcro to hold it closed! Why hasn’t ford recalled considering this issue with so many?
Just get to it too much bullsht
I've always loved Ford pickups but both my 1995 and my 2005 F150's have proven to be pricey to repair. The best F150 that I've ever had was my 1985 short bed. It went and went until it wore out. Even after a year of sitting in the back yard, with a little charge and a little fresh gas it started right up. I gave it to my brother-in-law.
Thanks for the video. Just fixed mine today. Way harder with a 6" lift by the way. I could get to anything easy.
Thanks for the repair video. Now I'm heading out to find that hidden tab!
I have 2011 with the same problem ,thank you
This video was a huge help! Thanks!
Thanks for the video… hows that Olight Baton flashlight holding up for ya??
Could you please tell what size screw would work best?
Man I enjoy you're vids thanks for sharing
Do you use iMovie on the iPhone, or just upload, and edit using youtube? If you use iMovie, there is a speed control during editing that can help solve the slo-motion problem. Bummer about the tailgate, you have to wonder what manufacturers are thinking about these days, thats not a new thing, tailgates have been made for a long time, you wouldn't think they would redesign it to be worse. Automotive engineers should have to take an oath like a doctor. Do no harm………
Easiest way to fix it, Get you a Chevrolet. 🙂
There aren't enough cuss words in my vocabulary to attempt that "simple" fix (even with your great instructions).
That damed flux capacitor is on the fritz again.
Yeah that would drive me crazy too
FORD – Found On Road Dead!!! LOL!!
I like a fix that doesn't cost anything but a little time. Fords have their issues just like Dodge or a Chevy. I've had to replace one blend door as well on my 05 Chevy truck and your right, $600 was hard to pay! I like your repair videos but that costs you money so I'll watch the cooking videos too. 🙂
Why not put a chunk of sheet metal over the entire tailgate? Looks like the metal cover gets pushed on in the center and bends up the edges over time.
F over rebuilt dodge, fixed or repairs daily.
I guess, I'm not into the races
Always enjoy your repair videos. Thanks for putting in the time to make them. All the best.
Fix Or Repair Daily ( FORD )haha, sorry I had to do that. Larry
great showing the trouble area you have discovered
