You’re welcome everyone. I would recommend changing the PCV valve, which is
located behind that intake we cleaned here. According to Ford, it helps
detour a dirty throttle body

you!

Yay! Thank you!!!

This did not fix my problem, but it was the IAC valve (Idle Air Control)
directly above the throttle valve on my 04 Ford Escape v6 3.0L. ~$60 for
the part, but I cleaned mine with the same NAPA throttle body cleaner used
here. $4 FIX!!!

thanks dude

Good tip, will work on my explorer today and do the same thing. The
throttle has been sticking for almost a year. Everyone kept telling me to
adjust the cable, thankfully I didn’t do any adjustments. Good Video.

Thanks a lot, just got this problem in my escape 2008.

Rob Myers says:

I watched your Video, I have a 2001 Ford Escape, Mine looked different than
yours but I got what you was doing and followed it on my car. Cleaned and
is running great!! Thanks for the help in this. My wife will be proud!!

Ford Dealer wants $99 plus towing to look at my 04 Escape. It’s sitting at
4K RPM and won’t go less than that. Bout to try this fix. Thank you in
advance for this video. Where is the tip donation jar 😉

Joe Bielski says:

My was so affraid to drive my escape, then I found your video, now when I say
let’s switch cars,I can’t get my truck back. Thanks again for making this
great video. I wonder what Ford would charge to fix this simple problem?

whtabtbob says:

Thanks for this. I kept looking under ‘focus’ for a fix because I have an
05 ST. Finally you pointed me in the right direction. The butterfly is very
tightly situated in the throat and any obstruction at all will cause
problems. This was causing me so much frustration every fall when the temps
dropped.

TheTimTim1978 says:

Thank you thank you thank you for this video. I had this problem on my
Mazda Tribute and it was the most annoying thing… Now it works great

MrWeeboler says:

Thx a million. I just got this problem with my car & it’s funny how I took
off that same hose a few days earlier checking my air filter, now I gotta
go back down there. Thx again u made this so simple a caveman could do it 🙂
