I would add a note that one should not neglect greasing the steering
components as well when doing oil changes.

Thanks bud, can i get all that equipment at like autozone?

David G says:

Oil level on the dip stick is almost never accurate after you just filled
the engine with oil. Oil is thick and has to make its way to the bottom
through the top end of the engine. It’s best to just put what it
recommends, drive the vehicle, and check after the oil has settled 10-20
minutes after it has been heated.

Dude, what do you do with old oil?
I hear you need to take it to store for disposal? Any place? Like Midas? Or
Firestone? Take it from you? Is there any fee? Also how did you transport
it from that wide ass black pan to something (?) confused. Please explain.

big joe says:

You’re supposed to use fresh clean oil when lubricating the filter gasket.

Would it be a good idea to reuse your oil filter?

JOE FORD DIY says:

Giuseppe his oil filter goes on side ways filling the filter with oil
only works on cars if the filter is going on straight up in his case the
oil would come out when he goes to put it on

moustufu says:

Thanks chris very helpfull ! Do you know how much oil i need to put in a
ranger 4.0l ?

jaj040 says:

Make sure the old filter gasket comes off with the old filter. If it sticks
to the engine side and the new filter is tightened down on top of the old
gasket it will blow out from the oil pressure when running. Something that
can be easily missed and can cause serious problems. AC Delco filters are
notorious for the gaskets not coming off with the filters.
