Another Toyota ute l didn't know about in Australia the Toyota utes are all Hiluxes in various configurations
Also bigger tyres gives worse mileage coz the roll8ng diam is bigger so the 5 or 10% reduction in mileage on the odometer needs to be factored in when think8ng about mileage

Oh it gets worse. Toyota is ditching the V6 in 2024 for the Tacoma. All you can get is a 2.4 4 cylinder turbo plus it’ll be hybrid. Ugh
He owned a Ford turbo 6 150. No tow ran decent mileage but towing, pulled great but no mileage.

Shame those two auto titans are at odds. It would be nice if a world-class auto authority would intercede and bring some resolution to this dispute.
They don't make them like they used to. AC compressors die out at 150K Kms and are all electronic and unrepairable.
It's also sad they released a base Toyota Corolla with a 3-cylinder 1.5L engine, that used to be a 4-cylinder 1.6L. (Though 4-cylinder variants are available with the 1.8L and 2.0L engines).
Scotty on top form with yet another very enjoyable and informative video. Wow that Toyota is in amazing condition for a 1996. It is my understanding that Scotty and the Car Care Nut have gone on record saying the 1990s were the golden years for Toyota build quality.
Sorry Scotty Toyota in Indiana was not a Toyota fork truck plant converted to make Toyota trucks . Built from ground up as a new plant. I live in Evansville Indiana just south of their plant.
Toyota built bullet-proof drivetrains, with decent mpg. Ford didn't get this done as well. For Toyota, the un-fixed problem was RUST ! Turbocharging creates problems with metalurgy, via heat dissipation problems. K.I.S.S. – Keep it SIMPLE !
