Nice idea about the pipe insulation. One problem that I found when I did
this with my Honda Civic A/C return line is that mice like to eat the
foam. Cover the foam with a layer of that Aluminum Duct Sealing tape (It’s
like thick aluminum foil that is sticky on one side) and the mice will
leave it alone.

William Holdt says:

yes aluminum duct tape

David, I accidently deleted your comment so have reposted it. David
Stegmeir So why in the heck don’t the manufacturers add this ten cent piece
of insulation in the first place? I guess after 30+ years in the
refrigeration industry, I am not too surprised but I am disappointed. I
love your videos. The wife and I just bought a pre-owned class A and I
think I am going to pull the fridge and do this simple but effective little
piece of maintenance.

Thank you strawdog3571. Yes these units can last years. Hope yours lasts 20
more years for you. If you ever have a problem, feel free to contact us.

Thanks for the videos. I have units that the LP works as well as the AC,
both heat up the boiler but nothing gets cool or cold? Any ideas? uncle

Hello David, in years past, the manufacturers used to use this. I assume
they decided they can’t afford it anymore. lol. Thanks for watching and
posting and thanks for the nice comment. GBYAY!

Very helpful videos, Thanks for posting. My 20 year old Dometic still works
fine. Zero degrees in the freezer 40 in the frig when set to medium. Now I
understand why the long life, they are very tough machines.

Jeff Phillipe has made a comment on FRVTS No 7 RV Refrigerator evaporator
exit tube for Dometic Norcold and Atwood refrigerators Great bids. I just
bought a seven year old trailer and it had the crumbly condensation drain
hose. Repaired as per your instructions with clear 1/2″ hose. Thanks.
