This Ford truck is in for an engine replacement. The current one has 280,000 miles on it, and the customer brought in a long block with 75,000 miles on it. These 5.4L Ford motors are notorious for their timing issues, so the customer is just looking to future proof himself and avoid costly repairs down the line.

Would y'all do an engine swap on a 1941 Oldsmobile? It's stock engine, a 238 cid I6, would be replaced by a GM Vortec 4200 I6. If so, how much?
I need a job like this on my 06 ford as well
Ford is junk
Hw much did u charge to do the engine replacement plus the motor? I hve a 06
Dude can you work on my truck! I trust you!
Don't buy a Ford then
My dad still rocking a 2000 5.4 triton with 230K+
I thought it was a 3 valve as soon as i heard 2006 and 5.4l
Its an interesting combination of skills this guy has. He's clearly an excellent mechanic, but he's also got an engaging and understandable presentation. His videos are always enjoyable because he's precise, to the point, and explains his thought process well. I've heard other people say it but I definitely think longer form videos of him presenting either like stories of cars he's seeing or something along those lines would go a long way towards encouraging aspiring automotive workers and also making customers more comfortable around mechanics, learning little bits and pieces so as to not feel completely clueless when they bring their car to a shop. Great videos though! I'm always happy to see them cross through my feed
Toyota is the best
Why not lift the cab?
I always wonder, would it be cheaper to ls swap it than to go back with an original engine? Obviously you're going to need the whole power train and PCM but I feel it wouldn't be much of a difference in price
Wow!! This guy, is AMAZING..
One thing about Ford truck, their owner will spend money to keep them on the road. I love my 4.6 liter.
I never see anyone working on the 4.6 2valve motor on the F150
Looks like a different shop ur in bro. U already moved?
Terrible. Swapping old engine parts on a car that has 280,000 miles on it to an already used motor. I would slap fire out of you if you did this to my car lol why not just get a valid motor where you don’t need to do that?
280k is not a bad run at all!!That #(of miles)was unheard of back in the day.In all of my experience anyway.
Can I get a price on how much this would cost. I got the same truck planning on doing the same soon if not at least a price range please
