Factory Car Stereo Repair says:

Totally different vehicle. I’ve added this to my list of removal guides…

Factory Car Stereo Repair says:

Anything can be done! However, I’d suggest purchasing a “Hi/Low” level
adaptor.

Factory Car Stereo Repair says:

Not for Ford.

mikecic144 says:

I thought it might be an anti theft thing that required the radio code to
be put in, but apparently these cars dont use radio codes. Im hoping to
remove the radio and see whats going on with the changer. Any other ideas?
If I get a replacement radio, I wont need to reprogram it to work with the
car (steering wheel controls, etc?) Thanks so much again! I really
appreciate it

Andre Cinelli says:

Thanks. A simple video that helps a lot! I have the service manual, but
this video helped more on this specific task.

mikecic144 says:

Hi boblizcou just wanted to say thanks again for all the help. I ended up
fixing the radio by removing it, opening it up and removing a stuck cd.
Works like new. Take care.

David Giffel says:

Bob, thanks for posting this movie… worked on my 2006 Fusion

TPUSILL says:

How about a 2010?

Factory Car Stereo Repair says:

@mikecic144 No codes or reprogramming needed. I have no more guesses with a
Ford CD changer. Most we don’t look at here in the shop, there is a lack of
support for repair.

JELH says:

Hello. I have a 2006 Ford Fusion SEL 2.3 and the radio will not play any
CD. Do you have a DIY tutorial on how to repair this problem?

Factory Car Stereo Repair says:

Presently this video is on the list to add…

Factory Car Stereo Repair says:

I don’t know the model number. There are adaptors available for an Aux-in.

sugarhorse7 says:

Looks almost too easy! Do you need to reprogram anything if you change the
old unit (with a similar but working one)? Thanks!

Factory Car Stereo Repair says:

@mikecic144 Most auto part stores.

ProthoPectore says:

ya pry the bottom of the trim panel first. fyi.

marcosevelyn07 says:

Man u do some nice vids ..

Factory Car Stereo Repair says:

@mikecic144 Before thinking of repair, disconnect the battery one more time
for several minutes and reconnect. This can reset the changer and bring it
back to working.

BlackCalvinist says:

Great video. What’s the model number for this radio ? I have an 05 focus
that uses the same radio. I’d like to see about getting something (an iPod
cable or quarter inch cable of some sort) to plug into the aux port on the
back (assuming it exists).

Arthur Peirson says:

You made my day so much easier… if that is your intentions when you make
these video’s… then well… THANK YOU Boblizcou… you made my day a
whole lot easier.

mikecic144 says:

Great thank you. Any idea where I can get the pry tool/similar tool for the
job?

mikecic144 says:

Great video, thank you for posting. I was just wondering where I could get
that tool? Is there anything else that I might be able to use as a
substitute? I want to take out my radio to attempt to fix it, because after
installing a new car battery my cd changer within the radio will not work.
Do you have any idea on how to fix this? Sorry for so many questions.
Again, thanks for posting this.

sugarhorse7 says:

Well it is actually as easy as it looks! took me 5 minutes to remove and
re-install! I didn’t have the plastic tool, so I used a thin flat
screwdriver (and pulled slowly and carefully!) it worked perfectly without
damaging anything. FYI: my car is a ’06 Fusion SEL, 6CD changer, and the 4
screws are 7mm and not 8mm. (somewhat not important detail) Thanks again
for the video!

mikecic144 says:

boblizcou, thanks so much for the quick response. Right before my last
comment, I disconnected the negative terminal on the battery for about 2
hours. when I started the car, I could hear the changer spinning, but it
doesnt recognize any of the discs (I have 3 of the 6 slots filled) and
reads “no disc. I cant even load a new cd, it just reads “load error” and
wont accept the disc. It will not eject the discs either.

goooooood………………..

warriorsking00 says:

i have a 07 focus and from what i have seen in diffrent vids is you basicly
have to pry the front plate off and there you go.

macmansouthside says:
