you do NOT have to remove the engine mount to do this repair. if you remove the belt tensioner assembly, you have more than enough remove to get to the water pump and pulley.
Rough as FUCK! . Levering coolant tank off pry bar on bodywork . Not using impact sockets .Air wrench sparking on bodywork .NO TORQUE SETTINGS FOR PUMP FLANGE AND PULLEY BOLTS.
1: Dosent drain coolant 2: Dosent evac AC unit 3: Dosent depress tabs to remove overflow tube 4: Prys reservoir with pry bar, instead of body fork tool 5: Breaks headlight 6: Jacks up car by the AC compressor, instead of at rocker pinch weld jack point, or at the engine cradle mount points. 7: Over torques engine before removing 8: Blames tools instead of shitty work ethic
6 minutes in and I'm not gonna take advice from this dumb ass mofo. Dont take any "recommendations" from this HACK.
Bro there are just two little slide clips that hold that thing in. You can pull that coolant reservoir right out. I'd be fucking pissed if you broke off my Snaps and were prying against my fucking headlight breaking that thing out of my engine compartment.
You don't know what the hell you're doing. You don't even know what pneumatic tool is. I hope you purge the air out or you're going to blow the head gaskets.
Never heard of changing a water pump without draining coolant FIRST. No better time to go with new coolant than when replacing any cooling system component. Dumping coolant and oil all over the floor is what a creep does. Sure we all spill and wipe it up, but plants, pets and drinking well water ending up watering the plants we eat are all better off without excess toxins in them (dogs love coolant, and it kills them). Another point: Jacking the motor up that high damages the two other motor mounts. No way going up that high didn't destroy the other two. Much new work for this guy in near future if the customer dare return thinking other issues 'just appeared'. I suggest look at other ideas on this job in other videos before diving in. Drain and recycle the coolant FIRST.
hi to get the radiator expansion bottle out all you need is a flat bladed screwdriver quite easy as I done a water pump last week you seemed to be struggling a fair bit also spraying brake cleaner for it to go inside the alternator not a good idea a big fire risk, when turning the belt tensioner you've got to put the spanner on the inside of the engine not the way you've done it as it unscrews the bolt on the tensioner
Tom your video was the best help! My daughter was in a bind and short on cash. 20 minutes of watching your video and trip to the parts store… 45 minutes it was changed and she was back on the road! Great video. I remember you mentioned the bolts directly on the pump were loose when you took them off. They were lose on her car as well and when installing I was careful not to over tighten. I still feel they should be tighter but did not want to strip them.
DO NOT bend the over flow tubing which dumps into that res. It will be brittle with heat & age and it will cause it to leak thus cause a replacement. Speaking from experience.
Is there anything else you need to disconnect to lift the engine.

Mine is really stuck. Help please. https://youtu.be/7Z3asgqew1M
Thanks. I will try the channel locks. @12:30, you use brake cleaning fluid. Is that to remove O-ring residue? Did that need to be flushed out too?

Yes! Let's mix brake clean with antifreeze!
