Do the pressures read on the ODBII feed?

Richard Saucedo says:

Christopher he has a video on that scroll valves situation. It’s very
helpful from what I remember you have to completely remove Freon before you
replace because doing so will leak it right out and might get hurt

kyle sundberg says:

Great video, more detailed then some other vehicle DIY’s! Do you know if
changing the rockers and pushrods on a ranger/explorer 4.0L ohv will get
rid if the dreaded clicking there known for. Or is it the lifters? Just
wanna know before I try and tare it apart
Thanks!

Great video guys super helpful! I just found out today that my compressor
is leaking oil and refrigerant.. I own a 05 ford five hundred. Had it for 3
years. Now it hasn’t had a/c for about a year.. So I decided to look and I
saw exactly what this video showed! Love it! Also would love to learn more
keep it up!

Russell Early says:

is this same compressor used on the 08-09 Taurus/Sable?
I just bought an 09 Sable Premiere in Jan, and now that it’s getting into
the AC season, It just doesn’t seem to be cooling off all that fast. still
gets “cool” after a few miles, but i definitely wouldn’t call it “ice cold”

Jack Killingsworth says:

When you accessed the low pressure port. How did you get the VMV loose from
the bracket to move it out of the way to make more room? I tugged and
pulled with no avail. I can see a tab on the back side of the bracket but
couldn’t figure out how the bracket works.

Cody Long says:

Hello. I’m in the middle of a compressor replacement on my 06 five hundred.
I have the bolts out of the compressor but the studs are too long where as
my compressor hits against the frame before it reaches the end of them. I
didn’t notice you have a problem In this video. Can you share some insight.
Thanks awesome video!

Richard Saucedo says:

We have a 2005 limited. The car cools on the highway but not in city stop
and go traffic. I looked at your other video regarding scroll valve and
went ahead and ordered it. I went to a Ford dealer in town and said it was
not a valve and instead it was my compresser itself. He said it had a leak.
My question is what would be your opinion on my next step? Should I just
replace it or replace the valve

bimmerman3 says:

I do not envy anybody working on cars with FWD and a V6. I’ll take my BMW
I6 any day over that crammed in mess.

Blaine Bugaski says:

A very informative video. Replaced the leaky compressor on my 05 Montego
last week. Now back to having ice cold air conditioning. Car has less
than 50,000 miles on it and the AC has not been working since at least
winter 2012 or spring 2013. Unforgivable!

Michael Kearns says:

Thanks for the vid! So I have a 05 ford 500 the ac worked great very cold
we were going down the road one day and we had to pullover because the belt
was smoking at ac pulley? A month later the belt broke but the ac was still
cool and worked great is there another solution other than replacing whole
compressor? Thanks in advance

Wyt3boiViSion says:

and can you tell me if there is an update for the 2005 ford 500 to upgrade
the cars cpm or ecm it seems to burn gas like butter melts in heat

Kevin Rogers says:

Way easyer then some Gm’s… waaaayyyyy easy…. ever change an alternator
in a DTS with the northstar engine? or hell the water pump! thats run off a
the back side of the camshaft by a pully!
if i could get away with recording in my shop i would, but i know for a
fact the guys in my shop way way to immature…

Richard Saucedo says:

Thank you very much you have been very helpful!

all the way turn and a hear a loud noise from wheel well please help me : (

Wyt3boiViSion says:

i also have a 2005 ford 500 limited and it cools on highway but idle or
driving slow seems to not blow out ac air it has 105000 miles bought the
car used they said the ac worked and then when it got warm out cause i
bought it in the winter i turned the ac on and didn’t work i charged it a
little and worked only on the highway went back to dealer and got the
dealer inspection report i didn’t know existed and the paper said may
require ac work : ( what should i do cause i can hardly afford the car now
:/

Liberty Arms says:

I am replacing the Compressor on my 2007 Ford 500 along with the condenser,
accumulator/drier, and expansion valve. My new compressor (60-01971
DiscountParts.com) is not stamped with oil capacity. How much oil should it
get and does this model require oil to be added to the accumulator/drier?
If so how much.

Wyt3boiViSion says:

yea it does run good no codes that came up on the orange machine my friend
hook up it does suck up gas it the brakes and especially the back brakes
seem to run down prematurely and having problems with the ac

LCCharlie says:

Did you not replace the receiver/dryer because the system had a slight
charge and therefore wasn’t open to the atmosphere, and because you didn’t
have it exposed very long when replacing the compressor?

Wyt3boiViSion says:

would i want to go somewhere to do a reflash to the pcm or ecm
