Should the splines on the front half of the driveshaft get the same treatment? Why only the rear section?

I got a 2004 Ford F150 Super crew with a Triton engine. This is a 4×4. I have to grease the slip yoke every ,2000 miles and it still acts up . It has 106000 miles on it and looks like new. Is there a recall on this?

Question, will the bumps be frequent like when going up a hill while trying to accelerate? Or giving it more gas to stay at speed? Then if you keep you foot out of it not bump?

Thanks to this video I ordered the parts for my 2009 f150 and made the repair today, that spline was bone dry. Easy job and the problem went away.
I can't believe I dealt with this problem for the last 6 years and never knew exactly what it was.

Great video. Ordered the new grease. I've used the blue Ford grease in the past, but it doesn't hold up for too long. Hopefully the white grease keeps the bump away!
Would the Torque specs for the rear bolts be the same on an F-250?

I am sure many think the symptoms from this issue is a trans problem thinking it's hard down shifting.
Could this also feel like "slop"in the drive train?
What about the upper portion of the drive shaft that goes into the transmission or in this case the transfer case?
