I noticed that after you started the truck without the battery charger, the
theft light was no longer blinking. Battery chargers do not produce
absolutely clean DC current they dont have enough filtering to keep AC
current out of the system This is probably why the theft light was blinking
Good vid, thanks keep up the good work

Your door is a-jar. lol

1944johndeerel says:

my dads truck has the brake light on the dash on all the time as well. we
have a ford expert friend who told us there is a sencer somewhere that has
malfuncioned. its really not a big deal.

30GB says:

when you test a alternator try taking off the battery when its running if
it shuts off its bad

3s999 says:

wha??? good vid.

Martin Storsveen says:

If I had a car, and it broke down, I might have called you 😉 Great video!

richthecardude94 says:

ford better than chevy

CraniX says:

Good tip, if the brake light and the battery light are on it usually means
the alternator is toast.

eggman9713 says:

Did you not notice the battery symbol light on the right side of the dash
when you first got it going? THat light is tied directly to the alternator
output, and it comes on if it is undercharging or overcharging. You could
have saved yourself a few minutes of diagnosing.

30GB says:

yep that too the way he dose this in the vid is bad to the computer and if
he had like a gps or computer unit it would have died starting and running
with very low voltage

gatorhunter1 says:

I wouldn’t try to crank over a low/dead battery while it’s still connected
to the charger. Nor would I charge the battery while vehicle terminals are
connected to the battery. JEEEZUZ!

jmoyet says:

cool.. nice job!

brendondeere2000 says:

Why does the truck say its in reverse

GEARHEADGUY92 says:

haha just did this on my dads 99 4.6

rymadness says:

oh, the gauges, they do a self test, when you turn the key to acc, i know
this besause my cousins peterbilt does it.

jakalero says:

U skipped the most important parts like taking off the serpinting belt. Not
good not helpful

Extra Briny says:

These 2002’s there is a 90a and a 110-130a. The XLT is usually the bigger
one.

thundercloud47 says:

No flaming intended here, I’d have liked to have seen you undo the
tensioner BUT I realize you probably did not have the room to put a camera
down there. Word of caution: I have always been told to remove the cables
before putting a battery charger on BUT I also realize that you were just
trying to jump here. Leaving them on for long time damages electronics if
the cables are not removed. I could be wrong but I’ve always heard that.

Nick Yansky says:

IF you would have just replaced the alternator at the beginning instead of
just playing with the truck and the battery charger, you wouldnt have
needed to ‘jump’ it after replacing the alternator. This is the most
worthless video ive ever seen

Intelpentium54321 says:

nice job

Serbando Montes says:

@ReptileWraps change the belt

Mega Hawk says:

If my car needed service I would definately let Daniel fix it. He does
excellent work.
