This is a 2007 ford E van with a 4.6l v8. It came in with a dead hole misfire on cylinder 7 and I found a host of other problems.
This is part 1 of a series. I broke this video down because this van has been lingering in the shop for a few days. Here is part 2! https://youtu.be/dnVqOuhVykE
Looking for part 3? It’s ready, Click HERE! https://youtu.be/6-XCQ_0LbxQ

A typical day in the life of a mechanic, it will come down to no parts or customer does not have funds to fix vehicle. I have spent last 40 years doing this job and have nothing to show for it, I wish you a better future you seem like a mechanic I would have work on my vehicle
Why can't you be in my town I own a lawncarw company few trucks and need a guy like you bad.
Yes Ford salvage ECMs can be reflashed, I figured it out a long time ago and I am pretty sure other people have some videos on it on here. I would do some more testing, you obviously got an injector pulse on there at one time, if an injector driver is burned out it's burned out and it isn't going to come on some of the time.
I've seen this be a default strategy on cars to disable injector pulse on a misfiring cylinder. Most likely the multi misfire code is erelavent . I've seen a few people mention this in the comments but thought I would add to it so hopefully he will see it
I am 62 and have had loads of ford cars and they have all been crap now i drive a toyota, i learned my lesson the hard way
I'm curious as to what type of vehicles you work on most. I've had a Jeep Compass that only lasted 85k before it rusted out the frame and now only have Toyota and Honda cars with over 100k and no issues.
Please find a way to wear the cam so you have the use of both hands, especially when driving!
Show us how to diagnose throttle issues in a GM ecotec 2.4 please. I have no idea why someone would make an oil nozzle that small.
The engine compartment looks cleaner than the inside of the van!
Hi…i watched all the 4 parts of the Toyota. on part 3 and 4, you had hard time putting back the coil spring. don't you have spring compressor, this is the esieast way set the coil spring in its position..
Wow this channel is absolutely exploding
I've never heard an engine make a noise like that before. It sounds like it's in pain!
@ 06:39 he said Science lol she blinded me with science 🙂
Beware of relying on the audible continuity mode on DMM’s. Most Fluke meters will beep below 25 ohms. But, 25 ohms isn’t ok when you’re measuring a piece of wire.
Manually set the meter to the lowest ohm range, which should be 200 ohms and look at actual resistance measurement. Should be 1-2 ohms, maximum.
Pull ecm and pull the cover and and look for bad solder joints on ground lugs.
A junkyard ECM can be reprogrammed. It costs about $75.
