Is there a motor core exchange?

Patriot Fox says:

Hey man, awesome as always. I have an off topic question since you are the electronic expert for diagnostics:-). I have a 2004 Jeep TJ 4.0 throwing a P0740 torque converter circuit code. I want to run continuity, resistance and power tests on the TCC lockup solenoid. I can’t find where the heck the lockup electrical connection is on the transmission and the corresponding pins on the TCM. (42RLE trans)
FYI the rats have loved the Jeep wiring so far so I’m hoping that’s the issue. Lol.

Thanks from Eric.

Nigel Nevison says:

In the UK the Nissan qashqi has motors on the back an the tiny bolts just round off. They are a nightmare to get off. You were lucky with the Ford.

Mike Buffing says:

If you think about it its still cable activated. As 2 or more wires are considered a cable. Lol

Fixing things that shouldn't exist.. insanity

Greenbud Kelly says:

Another great diagnosis.
Making the call on the motor is difficult. If you don’t replace it and the customer is back in three months with the same problem, you look like an idiot. And the customer loses the vehicle for another coupletree days.
That’s not doing the customer any favors.

How much for the Snap-on Verus?

Nice work again Mr O. I keep a list of terrible "features" that I give to people who are looking to buy a car. It quickly eliminates about 3/4 of the cars LOL.
Stay gold.

That’s a Ford for you

Karen Cary says:

I've always used my parking brake.

Charlie Hayes says:

Any exterior electrical connection work I do I use NYK 77 grease on the terminals. Never had a connection corrode again. A must in the salt belt.
