Problem one – they tried building a computer with wheels instead of wheels with a computer
If you don’t think Tesla is leading the EV industry you are not an electric car mechanic or owner. It will be down to Tesla and China in the car industry soon. Toyota will be bankrupt. I wish right to repair would pass. I have a Smart EV and it is garbage and I can’t work on it. Mercedes won’t work on it either, but they still lock it so you can not. I am afraid Tesla is going to be the same problem. Cars cost a fortune and they can not be worked on by the owner. I do all my own mechanic work. I’m going to buy a Tesla but my days of working on cars will be over then. Maybe. We’ll see.

Dad bought a Ford in '59, I bought a Ford in '95. That's it for this family. What does that tell you? Ford fooled us twice.
Boston, MA area – To prevent rust I spray the undercarriage & inside panels with Woolswax & Fluidfilm this stuff is awesome. First it is 100% safe for the environment, 2nd it is inexpensive, 3rd – it is easy to apply. With cars being so expensive spending 4 hours/year to prevent it from rusting is worth it.
My POS Ford Focus consist of: Made in China parts, assembled by the cheapest labor they could find in Mexico. Ford really upsets me because they used to build great products. Example – My Taurus & Mercury Sable each gave me 250K trouble free miles, my current Crown Vic is awesome.
