Wow, what an amazing DIY! I know this must have taken a lot of work, and
appreciate you sharing.
Great job!
So thats whats making one of my companies work truck squeak when you drive
it around ! Embarrassing to drive around squeaking ever where lol
Can you do one for a 97 mustang?
Nice video and work area!
It has been twenty years or more since I replaced ball joints. This video
was a huge help as I replaced both sides lower ball joints and upper
control arms on my 97 F150 4×4 today. Thanks!
Excellent, best explanation of this for me. Thanks bud.
Very informative and helpful. I just did this to my 2001 F150 Supercrew
after getting new tires. 178K miles. Not bad, but I’ve had a feeling
they’ve been bad for a few months or so. Thanks again, it really helped to
see someone doing the exact job I did.
i have a 2001 ford expedition that squeaks when i hit a bump turn my wheel
an driving slow is this common in ford trucks and should i replace the ball
joints or shocks?????
is also similar to 1998-2003 Expedition awd/4×4
I have watched a number of these videos on this and you are by far the best
out there as most the others have people taking parts off that dont have to
be taken apart well done Ihave done so many trucks like this for the same
problem Ford had their heads up their ass when the designed these trucks
Good job! I learned a lot watching this!
Thanks! Your video helped me do the repairs to my F-150.
very nice video but no mention of the axleshaft line up
You know I had a hard time installing my lower joints. I didn’t have a
press so I just heated the frame with a blow torch and tapped it with a
hammer with no problems.
Sorry about the typo…LOL!. That was suppose to say RACING GREASE.
@kas0016 You need to have them, at least, in the right general area. It is
ideal, but not always practical to have the vehicle on the ground when you
tighten them. You don’t want to have the control arms 90 degrees from where
they belong at ride height when you tighten them.
That was a job done well!
I’d gladly take any other tips or pointers you might have for my task as
well, thanks again.
very nice ..it seems easy, whwre do i get the special tool?
This is the way how to make a tuturial…. thanks.
I like how the new joints have a grease fitting.
Very helpful. Any chance you can be at my house in the next 15 minutes. I
can pay in beer and bbq.
hmmm, this looks easy… not… lol but can this be used also as a guide
for a 1999 ford ranger??
same set up
I could not have finished this job without you. I had to take a sledge to
my lower ball joint and could not remove the other part without the pickle
fork. thanks again !!
Turn your goddamn brights off. You’re in a subdivision.
thank you for the video , you did a great job man. Now a can fix my truck
thanks to you!
Great video! I thought the squeaking was my shocks. Now I have something to
do next Sunday lol
Awesome video! I have a question, i have a nice 1994 ford f150 and i need
to take fenders & the front clip because its rusted right by the body
mounts on both sides so is there any easier way to do it?
COULD CLEARLY UNDERSTAND THE BALLJOINTS AND ITS IMPORTANT. GOOD
EXPLANATION. ERODE PARAMU, INDIA
I was looking for ball joint grease fittings on my 01 F 150 this video
taughtme that they don’t exist stock
great video….thanks.
Great video….Will use it to replace on my 2003 p/u.
Can u get me the name of tools
After replacing upper and lower ball joint and outer tie ride the driver
side shakes. What would cause that
great video!!! I would highly recommend this video to anyone who needs ball
joints on the expedition or explorer. Thank you for posting. Keep up the
excellent work.
which brand of auto parts are those?
Did you try to grease them up before changing? If there was no play in them
maybe it could have helped?
nice and easy! well done, the noise in 2:28 hurt my ears
Very very good, it is easy to follow. I watch this again again, till i
practice then i master. Watching is good to learn, but you need practice
later to master what you see. Edoardo
A ranger would be similar
could be a broken belt in the tire itself
