I think that just comes with the car because I have a 2012 mustang. If you firmly place your hand on the dash above the steering wheel it stops. I have been adding sound deadener to my car, and haven’t got around to fixing that rattle just yet. I doubt you caused it by changing the cabin air filter because I haven’t changed my filter.
Huge help thanks
I need help! I replaced my cabin air filter on my 2012 Mustang. Since that time I’ve noticed a vibration noise coming from the dashboard. I notice it more at higher speeds, like 65mph+. Any ideas what could be causing the vibration? Didn’t have any problems prior to replacing the filter.
yes and they can slow the flow of the ac in extreme cases
Do you think that a dirty cabin filter makes the a/c stink?
Thanks. Had an easy job. Only suggestion is to have the wiper blades in up position, makes taking the cover out. Also, while you are in there, clean out the leaves.
Our sources say that the Crown Victoria doesn’t have a cabin filter. Sorry!
Thank you for the vid.
But Does this method goes with my 07 ford CV.
You’re welcome! A clean filter makes a big difference in your cabin.
Great video! Saved me the cost of a manual AND my Ford dealership wanted $50.00 for a new filter. Thank you for allowing me to tell Ford to KMA – I’ll do it myself….
Funny, two ford dealers said I didn’t even have one on my 08 Mustang GT! Now I’ve got something else to worry about…
We’re glad you found this video easy to follow!
I wish all the DIY videos were this easy to follow!!! Great vid!!!
With the Fram cabin air filter instruction sheet and this video, it made this yearly task a snap. Make sure the air flow arrow points toward the cabin. I cleaned & treated both the air filter frame and the cowling when I removed it. I made sure that the square drain hole both at the bottom of the frame was clean as well drain hole in the cowling was cleaned. That small drain hole in the cowling is not very apparent – it is 3 inches from the hood edge on the passenger side next to the wiper
Very nice and informative video. THANKS!
Great video..HOWEVER…you totally missed the chance to clean out the drain plug while you are in there! This area catches leaves and tree junk and clogs the single rubber drain plug and then floods your Mustang (yes Most new mustangs leak within 3 years due to this problem!!). I had a 2006 gt and water comes through that filter on your passanger side feet!! When changing the filter, clean that plug at the same time!! Save yourself a flood. A bad ford design on the plug!
thank you i was thinking it was inside lol
