This Video is so helpful. Thank You!

scanulette says:

A right angle screwdriver from Harbor Freight works great on all 4 screws.
Only costs $4, saves time and aggravation.

Anthony Carrera says:

I have an 06 gt i want to replace the subs in the doors with 8 inch kickers
that I’m sure will sound better if i know shaker 500 implys 500 peak
wattage but how’s the rms as the kickers are 300 rms 500 peak will i need a
new amp?

avic411 says:

@LeadSlinger89 The process for replacing the main 6×8″ speakers is the same.

Jamil Jafarov says:

I bought my dream car 05 Ford Mustang and I wanted to change my speakers.
It could cost me about 100$ may be even more. But after I saw your tutorial
I started to do it by my self. It took about 2 hours to make it. Now I know
how to install speakers in Mustangs. I’m Mustangholic and this video was
very helpful for me. Thanks for help:) just one question. Could you show
also how to install subwoofers? If it’s possible

Denis Van Dale says:

@youngmexi760 Try mounting from underneath.

Andre the giant says:

I’d like to see this guy put that back together. Its gonna be a bitch lol

bustacrab says:

dude… get a converter for your socket wrench to use those torx bits on
the rear speakers… definitely doesnt have to be a nightmare

Dalton Smith says:

Whats with the music, I felt like I was watching a sci-fi horror movie

TNM1TeamNightMare says:

Thats not how the speakers install on a 06. Mine are part of the door panel
held in by 8 7mm bolts and one 10mm bolt on the back of the speaker. The
whole door panel has to come off

SnOpeK Domowei says:

can u make a video showin and testing/blowing the stock ford speakers?

Devante Mccoy says:

Are the rear speaker 6×9 or 6×8. also the front is 6×8 right

Parrotluver2 says:

it sure seems like these stangs and pretty much all car panels are
installed so cheaply that’s why you here freaking Rattles no Quality on
newer cars every thing just snaps right on does anyone know if the 2005 v-6
stang with the shaker 500 sound system has a amp built in ? i just got one
loving it but i saw a preview somewhere on here of the 2005 it said the
shaker 500 has a 1000 watt amp anybody know ? thanks

whustad32 says:

The music was subtle but very refreshing!

WannaRideMyBigTrain says:

Thank you for the video, it was very helpful.

cory2146 says:

which wires are positive and negative? I don’t have a harness

Jason Maurer says:

Does anyone know what NIN instrumental this is?

WestForWalnut says:

@avic411 Okay, thanks for the info (mine is an 05). Great video!

2005mustang says:

This is the hard way to replace the rear speakers, the grill that covers
the 6×8’s in the back come off and you can get to the screws from there!

JohnWickert says:

Great video. I’m tearing up my ’07 Cal. Spec. tomorrow and your pointers
are very helpful. I would have broken something trying to figure it out
myself!

davidgilmour6 says:

@avic411 ***Forgot to add that the motorz car is a 2008 GT. *** Not
necessary to remove the top corner panel. Refer to the 23 minute clip by
motorz and you can see that he left the top panel on. Nice video
nevertheless and thanks for posting.

montyhades says:

Thank you very much, I just got my first mustang 2005, after using VW on.y,
and so far I like the car, but I wanted to change the sound system, and I
asked my dealer and they wanted me to pay, $600!! But after I checked here
and saw your tutorial, today I did it, it took me like 8 hours in doing it,
but it was easy just by following the steps, thank you very much, you saved
me lots of money, I only paid for few wires but the rest was cheap..

youngmexi760 says:

hey i got a 08 v6 n my speakers are 6×8 n my new 6x9s dont fit wat do i do
now?

Kody Fahey says:

Okay i have a question, im still alittle bit lost, i have a factory 05
msutang shaker 500 system, i wanna get 2 12s int he trunk help me
understand the side doors, mine have a round speaker looking thing on the
bottom and flat grille by the speaker in this vid. is it a sub? 8 inches i
saw other guys get kicker 8″s can i but kicker 8″s and just replace the
others really quick by just connecting wires like this video?!

dimaskdd says:

this video makes it all look easy, im afraid as well that im gonna rip my
car apart and then not gonna be able to put shit together lol

Billy McGrath says:

sometimes I hate doing this stuff because the panels don’t assemble back
very well. they will creak or rattle after

J&M says:

Why would you do that there isn’t anything wrong with the factory shaker
system no matter if its the 500 or 1000 hell that’s why ford gave you a
choice between the two so you wouldn’t have to worry about the sound also
that’s why it’s a bitch to take apart because it’s not needed unless a
speaker or something blow

WestForWalnut says:

Actually, you don’t have to remove the rear inside 1/4 panels to change out
the rear deck (a.k.a. package tray) speakers. The grilles snap off. Needs
no tools, using your fingers only, gently pry up starting in the center of
the grill, long-side closest to you as you face rearward. The snap-in tabs
are located on the ends, two in front, two in the rear. They pop right off
giving you full access to the speakers.

Dradrel says:

The rear deck was the most aggravating install ever. I’d rather have bamboo
under my fingernails. Holy shit. Getting the speakers unscrewed with a torx
bit took at least an hour or two. The quarter panel is god damn annoying
and then there’s fucking push pins.

avic411 says:

@bustacrab That works for the 2 screws in the front, but not the back.

Janedan Ryan says:

you don’t have to strip the interior at all. all you have to do is, from
inside the trunk, cut or break the 4 nylon nuts that secure each speaker to
the the rear deck. flip the rear seats down and bow the trim panel up and
cram something up between it and the deck. this gives you room to lift and
twist the speaker when you return to working from the trunk. twist the new
speakers up and in. i’ll leave the wiring and bolting to your imagination.
remove paint cans, flip seats back up and enjoy.

davidgilmour6 says:

@avic411 Not necessary to remove the top corner panel. Refer to the 23
minute clip by motorz and you can see that he left the top panel on. Nice
video nevertheless and thanks for posting.

adioo890 says:

im just gonna get a 1000 watt system so i aint gotta upgrade anything,

Parrotluver2 says:

so Avic i just wanna be sure i have a 05 S-197 V-6 with the shaker 500
System are the front speakers 6X8 ? and the rears are 6X9 ? and BTW: does
the shaker 500 have a amp somewhere and if so can you add a second amp to
the stock setup thnks

avic411 says:

@WestForWalnut On the 2005-2006 models, yes, as the video states at 2:27 On
2007-2009 models, you have to take the whole rear apart.

bigfattwin says:

Great instructional video..thank you.

Gregg Hansen says:

damn why dont they make it easy to take the speakers out shit

avic411 says:

Return the 6×9’s, you should have bought 6×8’s. There is no way to make
6x9s fit without doing some major cutting.

Raul Romo says:

Great video. Looks like quite a bit of work to remove those rear ones. Good
job
