Thanks for posting that. My dispaly hasn’t worked in over a year and I

Awesome video. I was missing one of my diodes so I just soldered a wire on
the board in place of the diode. Worked like a charm

Pulled mine apart, found a diode rattling around, soldered it back on, and
now it’s working. Took me all of 20 min. Also added a bit of solder to
the rest just for good measure.

Thanks for sharing. Worked like a breeze on my ’01 F150. One of the diodes
had actually fallen completely off but fortunately was inside the display.

Awesome – glad I found your video after 1 1/2 yr of frustration – even
looked in junk yards for a new console. Easy fix – took my time so as to
not break any plastic

I have a 2002 F150 Harley Davidson. My temp indicator is in my temp
controls in the dash. So my upper console display is for the compass only.
But I had the same issue. Before I soldered the connections, I thought I
would clean off any dirt with electronic cleaner and a q-tip. As I brushed
across the diodes and the first one (510) came off. The others seemed
secure. Soldered the fist one back on and hit the others for good measure.
Works Great. Thanks for the video. I always love saving money.

Tony M says:

That is unbelievable easy. The solder two tries only because I can’t see up
close and can’t solder.

Hi yeah loved the video got to the end where you started to solder and then
the video goes black. But I’m going to try it tomorrow and see if I can
follow your instructions, cause mine went out around 2 or 3 years ago
