No I didn’t ask about why the toiler paper in the console but he moved far
from where I live, I can only assume that its for road “emergencies” lol
You don’t need to splice into your radio harness for either one, I chose to
do it that way. You can always run your power cable else where and use an
inline fuse or something like it.
Thanks. I am now comparing the features of the CP60 with those of a similar
device sold by iSimple. Looks like the iSimple unit doesn’t require
splicing into the factory harness, though, which is a plus. BTW — Ever
figure out why your buddy keeps a roll of TP in his console? 😉
yes the CP60 will work with your sirius satellite radio, recently my friend
who owns this ford bought a sirius radio as well and all we did was to run
the audio output 3.5mm cable to the input of the fm modulator. Since he has
an ipod he uses and now the sirius radio all he has to do is plug in the
cable for what he wants to listen to. You can go either way, he chose the
CP60 as it was cheaper than the cable from ford.
I received a Sirius/SM Snap satellite radio recently. I’d like to use it
through my 2005 F-150’s Aux input — rather than through the FM tuner. My
radio appears to be identical to the one that you are working on in the
video. The installation guide assumes that there is already a port in the
radio or a cable that is input to the AUX feature. Will the CP60 unit work
for that purpose, or must I buy a harness from Ford?

yes it would be easier and sound way better, however my fried didn’t want
to spend the extra money as he figures he will sell the truck with in two
years. He likes it stock so ya.
the model is CP60, I’ve tried looking online as well but it will not show
up. The best thing to do is to go into the store. Its going to be either a
connect pro or iconnects.
Cool but wouldn’t it of been easier to install a aftermarket stereo with a
aux hook up and usb then having to fool with all that and it would sound
better.
I didn’t need an adapter for this install as the OEM antenna was the
standard size. Take your radio out so you know if you need it or not, not
all ford radio antenna ends are the same.
