teachers are not taught to understand or to teach spelling except by
phonics rote or Whole Word rote. Thus the basics of literacy are unknown to
them.
Beginners are not taught with Parallel Texts which show them in a text
parallel to normal spelling what are redundant letters and what are
misleading letters. They are not told that 36 very common words have to be
alone learned by rote, because they make up 12% of everyday text.
