Matthew Sharpe says:

Nitrogen in road tyres is such a sham – clean dry air is 80% nitrogen
anyway, and the claims made about the benefits of pure nitrogen are mostly
bullshit – don’t waste your money on nitrogen fills, just make sure your
compressor is supplying dry air (and even that’s not super important with
modern tyres and wheels).

Jonathan Van Eyk says:

Literally did not learn a thing about restoring wheels other than he strips
them then powder coats them. Then he sold you some new rims instead of
actually showing the process…

Basically:

Step 1: Pay some sketchball to do some “magic” on your rim.
Step 2: Balance and install in the most expensive way possible.

Appendix: Avoid any action that may save money at all costs.

1bbpracing says:

Larry, I love your videos and your knowledge you share is appreciated but
please stop saying “rims”, they are actually called “wheels”, people that
call them rims are generally not very knowledgable about cars and I know
you are so please I’m begging you to call them “wheels”, this is a pet
peeve of mine that drives me nuts, technically a rim is actually only part
of a wheel, a wheel is typically made of three components: a hub, spokes,
and a rim! Thanks for what you do keep it up!

BigMaxStax says:

LOL @ 6:31

“So, what do you think (about the car)? :D”

“Yeah blah blah let’s get these super ultra crucial measurements for you
Larry so I can haz free advertisement on your show bud! Then I’ll do some
more intense math and then we can buy aftermarket rims, kay Larry?”

kenny powers says:

what kind of shades is this guy wearing?

tubeengineer says:

Dissappointed he talked you out of restoring the stock rims

Willie Finucane says:

So how do you repair old Porsche rims? Buy new ones. Lol

Clemens M says:

sooo… basically he did all the measuring, all the math, and all the
research but in the end you guys went with a genuine Porsche wheel? Sounds
like you wasted a lot of time 😀 wheels look absolutely beautiful
though, I really love the color

MrRuHua says:

So what size of tire did you get?

diver dave says:

! the rims he chose look very bad ….

Hoffg says:

How much it cost to do the same job on 20″ size wheels ?
Excellent video thanks

parptarf says:

Beautiful rims!

Ronald Suluki says:

Great episode that identifies the technique involved in properly sizing a
wheel and tire for a vehicle and what not to do/listen to the street
knowledge that could be incorrect. Appreciate the training.

Paul M Edwards says:

Apart from the paint itself, your wheels and rims make the biggest
statement about your car. In this episode, we learn about how to properly
repair and revitalize wheels damaged by “curb rashing,” accidents, and
potholes. We’ll also review fitment requirements and other considerations
for selecting the perfect tire and wheel combination.

Troy lied says:

I was expecting more on custom fitment for today’s cars not high end wheel
repair and close to stock sizing.

xRussruary says:

best show to have ever existed 😀

Tony Teichroeb says:

Shortest 12 minutes I’ve watched in a long time…

Arman Tursynbek says:

Great video! Thanks! Do you know the formula he up

Jinkazam says:

Ok, Your videos are now officially too short! Do something! Brilliant
choice of rims btw, I would’ve stopped watching had you decided to go with
non oem ones 😉

estewar03 says:

Felt like this episode was missing some stuff. Just seemed short, I would
like to have seen him actually doing some of the restoration work on some
wheels, doing the math and calculating the new wheel size etc. But overall
it was good. I see a lot of comments on how much people dont like the new
wheels and I have to say I also am not a huge fan of the new ones, BUT it
the only thing that matters is you are happy with them and I’m sure that
you are.

Bugster987 says:

Those wheels look the absolute business on the car. Good choice. I’d love
to find a really clean 964.

Kyle Naidoo says:

Not a fan of the wheel choice.

Driv3ItLikeUStoleIt says:

Explain how the tire affected the diff!?

machinegun20 says:

Where da hell is chris harris on cars?

Vincent Chiaro says:

Love his tattoo of a tachometer (or speedometer) on his elbow. You can see
it really well at the 9:00 mark.

mp4f1 says:

Great info, and that 964 looks Killer…thanks for the solid info!

David Anderson says:

Luv these videos, and I luv luv luv the 964, especially with those cup
wheels on it, beautiful car. Great videos, keep up the good work.

AMMO NYC says:

In the end I did choose to replace my wheels. But that was after examining
my options and considering the recommendations from George. He’s a good
friend and I trust him completely when it comes to wheels.

nyjatt911 says:

Anyone know of any other good but affordable wheel repair guys in the
Tri-State area?

Tyler Desrosiers says:

Love the wheel choice Larry, thank god you chose those wheels and not some
blinged out ones. You have the car of my dreams

semjb says:

should check out what RWB can do that porche you have

AMMO NYC says:

That’s the beauty of wheel modding “to each his own”. Everyone can choose
the colour and style they like for their car.

PixelVogue says:

George sounds just the dude who plays the Hulk in The Avengers lol

thewalrus1968 says:

each to their own but i thought those rims didnt look good in that colour 🙁

Doug Perkowski says:

Fantastic! I hope you continue with the Porsche pieces as I’m looking at an
80’s 911

Mr B says:

ahh Close but no cigar. I’m a cat what did you expect? 😀

Kristoff S says:

Where can I find a shop like his in the Seattle area? Does anybody know
because I can’t very well drive from here to New York for some rims.

Majo Kurill says:

great video, very helpful!

Medeiros Júnior says:

Muito bom mesmo! Parabéns!

daybreaK says:

lol new rochelle really bro

Wael Al-Rihawi says:

Please, could you expand more on the differential issue? These cars are all
wheel drive which means if your going with bigger overall diameter
wheel/tire combination it has to be same increase in percentage for front
and rear combinations. In other words, these people burnt the center
differentials of these labos because the were trying to compensate all the
time for the difference in the distance driven between the fronts and back
wheels. Am I right?
