Aaron Duhon says:

488 Definitely – Do it

Doc McCoy says:

Sigh unseen? That's hard to believe. Good for content, but I don't "buy" it

Brian Cullinane says:

F40 shenanigans is just too much. If that ends up being a Fiero kit car I may never forgive you LOL

Mark L R says:

I used to build and repair fibreglass body kits for a living.. get some CA glue and just start gluing it back together making sure it all fits up.. more CA then glass it.. sand fill and paint.. easy repair..

Jonathan Tennant Photography says:

Nice work with the fibreglass, can I pop round with my Elise S1 , front needs your treatment, and thanks for the advice re the CS copy

ValladolidArde says:

love this repair project and the f40 teasing is hilarious! can't wait to see the project

S D says:

When you were taping the bumper together I was laughing but Jesus Christ you did a great job.

Wade Hampton says:

Great video as always, it's hard to believe that the car can take such a thump and yet still be (relatively) unscathed. Anyway, keep up the good work.

Ian Kam says:

DO the 488!! Be nice to see you basically doing the same repair we have on our 458 spider!! Always seems to be more damage to the front left side of these units!! Thumbs up from Canada!!

I Need That Car says:

Scott get a mask on when dealing with Fibreglass please! You only have one set of lungs! That aside – this is all coming together beautifully!

John Smith says:

love the video but audio seems lacking on this one…

goatcreek says:

Great job. I have a lot of experience with glassfibre.
Instead of trying to get the losse upper part exactly in place i would make a part mould of the area on another car. Put he mould on the damaged bumper and rebuild it from inside with coat and glassfibre weaw and crossfibre.

Rasmus Poulsen says:

I think this is exactly how they do it at the factory.

SMH Ace of Spades says:

I have to say watching you redo the Ferrari and Matt doing the Lambo and now Sam taking the dive i think a
US vs UK Car Trek WOULD be AWESOME to see after you guys are finished with your builds of course or even just a UK version would be COOL.

James Pettigrew says:

The F40 hints are hilarious. Love these 430 videos. Greetings from Sydney Australia.

Peter Rule says:

Great build, I’m loving it!

Therealaardvark says:

So you bought the Monaco fire car???

Steve Mfr says:

Just a couple of quick tips for fiber-glassing next time around:
– first and most important: there are 2 types of resin: polyester and epoxy. The big difference between the 2 is that epoxy has much, much better adhesive properties than polyester. I saw that you were using isophthalic polyester resin (yes, YT viewers see everything :-p). Epoxy is more expensive, but for the tiny amount you needed for these repairs it is negligible. Be different if you were building a boat. Your repairs aren't going to fall off, but in time cracks may appear.
– second, the holes you closed with filler should have been glued with epoxy prior as well. Filler is called that because it is only used to fill any unevenness after a repair. It is not used for the repair itself. Again, cracks…
– and surface prep…

I love what you are doing. So many people just replace rather than repairing. Unnecessarily. But I am quite anal about the quality of repairs. Everything should be as if it had been repaired by the factory. And it can be with a little research (if necessary) and diligence. No bodging.

cogboy302 says:

Given the frankly ridiculous prices Ferrari want to charge for GRP bumpers, would it be worth having moulds taken from your existing bumpers to be able to make new ones?

I have bought GRP front wings for a Toyota MR2 Mk1 tarmac rally car from a company called 'Honeybourne Mouldings' in Stratford-upon-Avon and they were good quality and a good fit. On their website they do say that they can make custom moulds for whatever project you have.

Just a thought.

Ganesh Shenoy says:

Great video Scott…. Thanks❤

Michael Goodwin says:

Hate the white van driver that caused this

Cesar Moran says:

❤ yes to all!!!!!!

Andy Loveland says:

Loving this build!!
