No wind tunnel test is viable. There is no moving wind. The car moves. When
they test wings in wind tunnels , the wings are fixed and the air is moving

There is so much pressure drag. This means the air from the diffuser
doesn’t meet with the air from the wing and creates a region of very low
pressure. Air moves from high to low pressure. The front of the car is at
significantly higher pressure and this creates pressure drag. Also, the
erratic movement of the air/smoke just downstream of the wing is referred
to as vortex shedding. This turbulence also contributes to the air from the
diffuser and the wing not meeting close to the car body & drag
