Nice! That bike hardly changed from 1977 through to 1987 when they went to
700c wheels. You would need to cross reference components with the
catalogs to zero it in. If it were mine I would get a new set of wheels
with a 9 spd cassette and 9 spd chain. It needs little else…besides my
personal Brooks saddle…

Edit: About 57cm? Nice size frame for a woman(?) I am glad it didn’t
devolve into a fixie. That one is too nice…

Matthew Schurter says:

A nice classic road bike!

daniel blaney says:

Bikeman you have your years a little off lol. The derailleurs and shifters
are from the shimano golden arrow groupo (the original 105). Which puts it
between 1983-1986. It is a gorgeous bike though none the less. Congrats to
whoever found that sexy best

Michael Blair says:

Judging by the serial number on the bottom of the headpiece, looks like a
1984.

C Challinor says:

nice bike, cool detailing round the lugs…you don’t get that these days
unless you pay mega-bucks….great to see you didn’t mess too much with
it…just clean it up oil it and new tyres/tubes….friction shifters are
not as convenient as indexed but you have to work with the bike and
feel where the levers need to be….I’ve got a Raleigh Record Ace in need
of some TLC, Campag Record groupset, about the same age as this bike..

Anthony Shanks says:

bike porn at its finest, those lugs, oh la la

rentatrip1 says:

great daily “Beater” bike , for every single day use, plus you have the
advantage of bragging rights given it is a vintage late 70’s unit, the
BIKEMAN & BIKEMANFORU have everything anyone would ever want to restore
any bicycle into daily use , plus ask Mr. Pump for the older info on the
older bikes… Mr. Pump & Bikeman are a warehouse of knowledge on your
bike… Bring it into their shop and let them FIX IT RIGHT

Stikibits says:

It’s already sexy. I want it.

Preston Golden says:

Beautiful bike.

Linda Goff says:

ohhhh cool 😉

dejected Lionfan says:

Can you show a video on maintaining your rear derailleur and chain? i am
have an issue where the chain has popped off while pedaling and not
shifting. I just purchased this bike and the shop i bought it from is a
long ways away and wanted to know if it was something that I could be shown
to fix. Love the videos.

ZOMBIE KILLER says:

Never clamp a bike to the frame always clamp a bike to a seat post

lastred888 says:

Bikeman love the videos keep em coming! The shifters on that bike are
early Shimano 105 called the Golden Arrow series. Shimano 600 of the same
time had the Arabesque series. Really neat and desirable stuff.

bijoubobs1 says:
