How to Remove Dealership Installed Swirls: Ferrari 458

Frederic Golz says:

Im so excited that New videos are being released from you! Best detailer in
the world! *-*

Bruce Austin says:

I have an Alpine White BMW that has quite a bit of swirls, but I have heard
this paint is quite hard compared to others (BMW Jet Black or Carbon
Black). I unfortunately am going to be polishing by hand, but time isn’t an
issue for me to get the right results. If I use a medium compund such as
Chemical Guys V36 (I think it is a bit less severe than most Meg’s products
like Ultra Cut), would it be better to take a bit off clear off at a time
or do a 3 step (heavy compound, medium-light compound, finish polish)?

Ozzstar says:

Dealership installed swirls…lmao….., so TRUE!! Dealership prep hacks!

Chimp Assassin says:

Does anyone know what the pattern on the passenger side glass is from?,
it’s easily seen at the end of the video. I occasionally notice this on
newer cars but think it looks ugly.

nelson baez says:

is the swirls is from the heat being place? or too much pressure apply? or
letting the product dry?

Marine475 says:

Hey man. How do you deal with all the dust carried by wind when you do this
kind of stuff on the outside?

william wolfe says:

if i start getting swirls on my ferrari i just toss it and buy a new one.

camryt says:

Can you remove polishing swirls with a cleaner or something like that?

samhaintrinity says:

Larry….are you Polish/Slavic? you must be to be as car obsessed as me, we
Slavs are car ANIMALS.

I have a 2000 MB SL500 and a 2005 BMW X3, and I do all the paint work and
decals/detailing my self, I had my x3 done by some one else last year when
I did not know much about cars.

I will be buying yer products too someday, keep up the good work brother!

hopebear06 says:

Great videos. Also great to hear people communicating respectfully. I like
Larry’s van. Very roomy.

chrisrefaei says:

Been watching since last year.

Rick D says:

My Ferrari F40 needs a good waxing ! How many times a year do you recommend
waxing !

Da Coder says:

What are “factory installed swirls” ? You never REALLY explained that…

Klodust . says:

this is funny because i was at that carburetors and caffeine meet and I
saw you that day.

SuperKayno189 says:

Do you know when your getting the large wheel brushes in and Plum? stocking
up on my ammunition hah

King4kills says:

can you please write a book 🙂 or would you recommend any?

Billy Ng says:

Your welcome for the knee pads Larry, but you don’t need to thank me. I
should remind you that you were very kind to me and my white Camaro 1LE.
Thank you for the shout out and glad to see you’re getting use out of
them.

Jay C says:

Hi Larry! Could you please make a video about how to clean Cloth Seats? I
really need your help.

I really love your videos btw.

dave dunn says:

I would LOOSE IT on the dealer if they did this now the guy who owns this
car has to pay larry big money to fix it when really the dealer should. No
offense larry

cbs8 says:

Just curious … since you work with such expensive cars, do you ask your
clients to sign a waiver in case you accidentally damage their car?
Obviously you know what you’re doing but accidents happen … and thanks
for another entertaining video.

Chris P says:

So when you polish the whole car should you “always” clean the car with
alcohol as you go, or just the heavily scratched areas?

Yousuf Zuberi says:

I liked the knee-pad story and that you actually wore em and credited the
guy 🙂

That was nice

krqkan says:

Good to see that you are back Larry!
When will we be getting longer videos? Entire cars and such.
And also dying too see a motorcycle detailing video.

Matthew Sharpe says:

Lord! I hope the dealer paid the bill for all Larry’s work to fix their
sloppy wash job! That’d be inexcusable on a new Ford Focus let alone a
Ferrari!

nle46touring says:

You forgot the wash ..etc etc.. the car 🙂 🙂 :)

Sincere Echevarria says:

Fucking dealerships man…

Every dealership (Especially a Ferrari dealership) should have PROFESSIONAL
detailers to take care of cars before they go out to people.

Myles Hejmanowski says:

Where do you get your black gloves?

Alfa Won says:

Could I ask how much you charge to look after a Ferrari like that ? as well
as maybe other older classic cars and Ferraris ?

MrT1N0123 says:

Caffeine and carburetors is in my town! larry are you going tomorrow? i
didn’t go last week at limerock because i couldn’t make it both days.

SeaRanger311 says:

So did you blow out your left knee. Before or after you started wearing the
knee pads?

sugarsaint says:

Stunning car

crthebigo says:

Great tips as always. Just a suggestion, but is there any chance you could
add a list of all the products you used in your videos in the description,
e.g. polisher, pads and compounds? It would be very convenient to have a
quick reference to look up products, especially when I mishear something or
it’s skipped over or even if I’m just going back to an older video trying
to remember a specific product. I think it could also be beneficial for
newer viewers who aren’t familiar with a lot of the tools and products you
use on a regular basis.

Boodieman72 says:

Are they swirls or holograms from a wool pad?

Cyps36 says:

Glad to see your looking after your knee`s Larry, great video thanks for
sharing.

Best regards from the UK.

Rubber Duc says:

Man I love your videos, I’m a new subscriber. I just had a quick question
for you, how long does it take you on average, with say an average car to
polish it with a machine? I’m using a PC7424XP and doing a 2 step polish
and it takes forever. I’m done with compounding and maybe 1/3 through
polishing and I have done it over a bunch of days and I have hours and
hours and hours in it. Just wondering how long it takes a very experienced
guy like you b/c maybe I’m going to slow or something…

GSTONE says:

Nice job Larry. Final result was clean!

DustyKnifes says:

Many amazing videos ammo! Keep it up!
Ive got a little request, I am interested in seeing car detailing 101.
Basically, I’ve got a exotic/classic car as a daily driver. How should I
work to keep it clean and tidy? Wash everyday? Keeping the interior clean?
What to eat and what not to eat? things to keep your classic a fresh.

nimajneb02 says:

Larry, I see you’re still using your Ford van, didn’t you end up winning
that Mercedes Sprinter Van thing? or is this an old video?

scottb8907 says:

You are truly a professional. I love watching your videos and I don’t even
wash my car. I enjoy the passion you have for your work, the dedication to
DOING IT RIGHT, and the effort you put into your videos. I really
appreciate it. Keep up the excellent work!

Pucadupr says:

Great video as always.

Paul Thompson says:

Great video Larry.

Hugo Fernandes says:

Another awesome video, i never was aware of this dealership delivery
“bonus” 😀 One, question, or two in fact, of the cars you get your hands
on, how many you had the privilege to take them to a spin around the block
yourself? and of those you did, what was your favorite, overall?

ww2717 says:

Larry you have got to try the CarPro 3″ flash pads on the rupes LHR75E.
What a combo for knocking out swirls and scratches.

BTubly says:

Hey Larry,

I bought a black 2004 Mustang a few months back, it’s a clean car but needs
some attention. There are a lot of swirls that I feel I couldn’t easily
address myself. The engine bay is also a little dirty as well as the
leather seats in the front, although the passenger seat is not nearly as
dirty as the drivers seat. I’m out on the east end of Long Island and would
like to know if you travel that far for detailing.

TheAcarr6 says:

Larry, I love your videos! Whenever I see you’ve uploaded a new one I’m so
excited to watch it! Definitely my favorite subscription on youtube.

hooahayes says:

Just ran across you here on YouTube. Excellent videos, very informative and
explained so an average guy like me can understand. Keep it up and feel
free to show a good detailing on a VW GTI.

SLEDGE KUSH says:

Larry I am a huge fan! I am a college kid and my parents just got me a
Dodge Dart. My car has swirl marks just like this all over the hood and
roof. I was wondering if I use a Rupes polisher if it was possible for me
to not do it right and take the paint off. Also what kind of polish would
you recommend for me to use and what size cutting pad, maybe 1? Thanks
Larry, your cars always fantastic!

Love it, did a video on a 458 it’s amazing
