@thekrazykarls That’s what I did as well. I have a DELL HP620 with Windows
7 and after a couple of weeks my battery would only start to charge if my
laptop was properly shut down. So if I was working without charger, and I
would plug it in, it wouldn’t start charging until I shut the laptop down.
Then after a couple of months it would NEVER charge. Does anyone know the
cause? Is it caused by a Windows update?

I have a Dell Inspiron 1750..and i had this same problem too..with the
error msg. it got fixed now though. All i had to do was buy a new ac
adapter/charger. it has been fine since. so do check for tht..becuz all it
could be is a defective charger =) hope it helps

I didn’t hold out much hope of this working, BUT it did!!! I had to remove
the power then plug it back in at the end, then it started charging!!! Many
